“I've had problems with not being able to use my Apollo 6x because the SoundID intermittently inserts itself as the output device instead. SoundID doesn't have output capability so suddenly I have no sound, no studio, no money coming in, and time lost figuring out why. I wish it wouldn't do this. Additionally, while I was calibrating the speakers it would intermittently start playing an annoying sound through the speakers, probably about 1kHz, which would go on until the speakers rebooted themselves. If I disconnected the network cables from the speakers the problem went away. Maybe you shouldn't release software until you've got it working correctly? Just a thought”

Hi Dale, Thanks for your review, sorry to hear your time with the software so far has not been entirely positive. By default, SoundID Reference has the setting to overtake system output enabled in its preferences, this can be disabled if you don't want the systemwide to automatically be set as the output device on your system when it is running (for more details, see our guide here: https://tinyurl.com/526n49bt). “Dear friends from Sonarworks, My experience with purchasing and using my product is excelent. I would only recommend to add possibility to exculde VAT from price during purchase, and before paying, if it is possible. Then it is no need to refund money back. I am really very happy that I have become the member of Sonarworks familly. I have very well accoustically treated studio, but your great product makes it even better. I can hear more properly the amount of reverb, exact localization, true color of instruments. Marvellous for speakers and headphones as well. “The upgrade to a multichannel version from stereo speakers/headphones has been a somewhat underwhelming experience the software creates a “phasey sounding” unclear low end when used in 2.1 a lot of trial and error as it seems fine at first. However not with all mixes and music sources the same setting can be used.”

“I stumbled upon sonarworks when I had the realization that my control room was not the most ideal and that the sound I could achieve in it was very limited. I found sonarworks through some basic research on tuning my speakers to my room and not the opposite. The shopping experience was very straight forward and the product description allowed me to properly choose the right product that fit my needs. When I ran into some trouble with my software, I immediately opened up the support ticketing system and provided as much information as I could. Response time was extremely fast from the individual helping me with my issue. The issue was resolved within a few days with little to no effort on my end. The experience in itself gave me the reassurance that the software I bought through sonarworks was indeed the best software I could find for my needs. Thank you sonarworks!”
