“So I've got SoundID Reference for Headphones by Sonarworks. I have beyedynamics dt 990 80 ohm version, the plugin contains preset for 250 ohm version only, but its okay. The default frequency presets, especially the flat target, are fantastic. The translation check feature is excellent for testing how sound translates in different types of rooms. I can now clearly hear how my music sounds to other people and in various environments. This has greatly improved my ability to identify and address problem frequencies in my mix. It’s an incredible tool overall. As for the shopping experience, it was easy to find all the information I needed both before and after the purchase. I appreciate how often the Sonarworks Team emails me with news and useful information. Everything was great!”

“I own SW correction for Monitors, Headphones, and the included calibration mic. It's really helped muy room sound better. I have bass amelioration, but not a lot of mid/high frequency room correction. THe SW Sound ID software has done a nice job making things far easier during my Mix/Mastering sessions. CS has generally been responsive. In the US, we need to remember the time differential is significant, and allow some time for communication.”

“The software is a game changer in terms of making imperfect studio spaces incredibly accurate and workable. The add-on to interface with Apollo really leveled the software up in terms of being able to monitor live instruments accurately without additional latency. I do still have some functionality issues in terms of bugginess, but they are usually quickly worked out as a temporary annoyance rather than an obstacle to my workflow.”

“Sonwarworks frequently caused my sessions to crash as a plugin, or failed and stopped transmitting audio so often that I bascially stopped using it due the the constant hassle. In some cases, like using RX10, I simply could not listen to audio at all if it was enabled. Plus, constantly compensating for the gain reduction the plugin introduces was very frustrating. This all goes away with the Apollo X Monitor integration - now it is always active, never needs adjusting, and I never need to change between headphone and speaker settings. As a standalone app / plugin, however, it's hard to recommend with all the issues it has and the tedium of using it.”

“It was a bit confusing for me, having already purchased the stand alone SoundID, when i first wanted to make activated and link it to UAD Console. It wasn´t a straight foward user freindly experience for me, it took a coumple of tris and looking up more information on the web page.”

“Finding and purchasing Sonarworks was easy and straight forward. i first did the trial version to compare to other solutions and then bought the full version afterwards. as everything was clear and easy to find, i had no interaction with the support centre.”
