“Due to the limitations of my studio, opting for headphones was the best current choice. I knew I needed to do what I could to support my monitoring being that it’ll currently be mainly from headphones. Reference ID supports this very easily. It simply does what I need it to do. I’m sure there are much more sophisticated ways to use the technology too which I look forward to exploring when I become more adept. The support centre is also very responsive to questions. Big ups!”

“I like the software and use for room correction, so I have a better sounding expirence and can make better mixing decision. I had trouble because I had to update to reference because the newest Mac OS wasn't able to start Sonarworks 4. That's a bummer, but it works for its purposes.”

“It would have been great to get an upgrade from Reference 4 to Sound ID for a reduced price. When changing computers to the newest generation, these unpleasantries appear... Greeetings Burkhard”

“Using a mac and had a tricky settling in period with loads of crashes and it no working with the standalone app but the support were really helpful and it now works fine on an older version. Has really helped my mixes translate and is good listening to reference tracks using the same calibration settings.”

“Only had soundID reference installed and calibrated for a few days and while I’m still getting used to it, it has already made a huge difference to my mixes! Genuinely could not be happier. Cheers”

“The Sound ID UI is well built and easy to use. Room measurements are made easy with step-by-step tutorials and the shopping experience is good! When I've had small issues in the past with systemwide software, consistent updates from Sonarworks fixed the issues. Support is helpful as well. This is a good way to balance your listening environment.”

“Brilliant product, and the virtual monitoring adds a new way to critically listen to your work in different environments. I was completely fooled when I switched to the smartphone simulation. It sounded as though the sound was literaly coming out of my phone sitting on the desk in front of me. Having said that, I held off frm upgrading for a few months due to a region related bug which caused the computer to freeze when running Sound ID. I pulled the trigger when the support desk announced that the issue has been fixed. While my computer no longer freezes, the plugin still does not work natively. Further digging revealed that Mac OS 10.15 Catalina is no longer supported, so I suspect this will not be an issue if you are running on a newer OS. For now, I am resorting to running Sound ID as a plugin, not ideal but I can live with that. Shopping experience was smooth and good, support centre was responsive and helpful.”

“I’ve been using sonaworks sound is reference for headphones and speakers for about 3 years now and I totally love the product! I use it for every mix and even while producing, if the latency allows it, I use it! Now I’ve bought an individually calibrated pair of ath-m50x, and the calibration definitely sounds off! I hope we will figure this out soon, other than that, I really love sonaworks and your products‘!”

“Great products! I have calibrated my studio speakers and use a couple of headphones. The virtual monitor function works great and kept me from buying Slate's solution. The only snag is that sometimes when I move back and forth between accounts on my MacBook Pro the core audio fails to load on my main account and an error message appears.”
