“Having measured the bedroom skylight I then contacted SklightblindsDirect to get a quote. Within 30 minutes I received the quote which was very reasonable. I then received an email & a text asking if I needed any assistance. I really liked the LanternLITE-Honeycomb Blind so after re-checking the sizes I ordered on line. Naomi then called to discuss a couple of queries I had regarding installation which was really helpful. My blind arrived 3 weeks later! Putting together is really simple but not wanting to make mistakes with a £300+ blind I watched the video & read the instructions. Unfortunately the video needs to be updated as 2 corner brackets are already fitted to the side panels & the video says fit to the bottom panel! There is a roller at each end of the side panels but instructions do not show which end they should be at. I felt really dim after I worked out the correct assembly & made up the blind as it is really simple, but they could make it easier with a clearer video & labelling each piece. Having said all that, the blind fitted perfectly, looks fantastic & is the perfect black out blind!”

“Blinds, when closed, leave a gap that lets light seep through. Temporary workaround was adding tape across the bottom (next to the handle where light seeps through), however over time the tape wears out so falls off and light seeps through again. I brought 2 different size blinds for the balio windows, both have the same issue.”

Hi Mahin, sorry to hear this (if you would have contacted customer services we would have told you the trouble shooting for this problem. Please see below and I have also sent you some documents and videos to help with this). It looks like the handle has not been pulled down enough. Can you untighten the side rails by 1 turn? If the side rails are over tightened, the teeth on the brakes and the teeth on the back of the foot won't lock into each other and so the blind won't close. Check to see if the cassette is fitted correctly and loosen the screws on the feet by a turn to see if this allows the teeth inter-lock with each other. If there is a gap at the bottom, if they place a finger at the end of each handle and push down and listen for a click this is the brake interlocking with the foot. thanks Naomi
