“We are extremely pleased with our Motorised blind, which is installed in our kitchen diner lantern. The measurements were spot-on and I found the installation instructions straightforward and easy to follow, especially backed up with videos. The blind has made a huge difference to the ambience and temperature, especially during winter nights and evenings. If you partially open the blind you can feel a rush of colder air coming down. I recommend this company.”

This was followed up a week or so later with a courtesy call from Steve who was happy to spend time listening to me to find out what I needed and suggesting the best solution they offered to suit me (which was Openview). He then sent me further information to look at. This was followed up by a further call to answer any questions I had. There was absolutely no sales pressure at any time. After ordering, the blinds arrived quicker than promised. As a diy'er I found it straitforward to fit the blinds. There was a minor issue setting up the remote control, which after a call back from Naomi, where she spent half an hour talking me through a reset, the blinds worked perfectly. They look really good and also have improved the thermal insulation from our roof lanterns. Thank you for your friendly and profession service. I would highly recommend.”

“We ordered a Lanternlight honeycomb, electric, 3m x 1.8m, back in May 2023. Ordering was very easy, we had a couple of queries, quickly and expertly answered. Delivery was in line with the estimated dates provided when we ordered. Once delivered, putting it all together was a bit fiddly, but do-able, using the supplied instructions and YouTube links for guidance. (The written instructions covered most things but the fiddly stuff was lot clearer watching it done on the screen!). We did have a problem with programming the motor, but Naomi was brilliant (and patient) in getting to the bottom of it and quickly providing a replacement motor once we'd worked out what was needed. The blind's now been up several weeks (I like to wait a few weeks before posting a review) and we're very happy with it. All working well, looks good, and it does seem to make a difference to the warmth of the room in the evening. So a 5 review for everything except the slight problems with the product as delivered, even though we can't fault the effort in successfully resolving the issues. Thanks Skylight! We would happily buy another one from you.”

“Excellent pre-sales service. I was able to speak to someone who understood and answered my questions. Never had to deal with anyone just reading from a script, which makes a nice change these days. The estimated time for supply was up to 5 weeks, but it was delivered much faster than that. My only slight problem was that the fitting video makes it look far too easy to clip the blind into the A1 profile. The clips are a VERY tight fit and require a lot of effort to clip in. The blind has to go into the bottom of each clip first, but the presence of the B profiles prevents you tilting it. If the top levers on the clips were a bit longer, it would be possible to push them back to make getting into the bottom of the clips easier. I presume the chap in the video has some kind of knack due to having done it many times. Also, the tension on the cables makes getting the other end into the A3 profile very difficult. Again, it needs a great deal of strength to get it clipped in, and doing so standing on a stepladder that's trying to move backwards (I think Newton's 3rd law has something to do with it) doesn't help. But with perseverance it eventually goes together. Now the blind is installed it works nicely.”
