“the time it takes for the audit is way to long. as a small business i think it’s wrong that you must pay extra to have the time shortened”

Our standard audit time taken from all documents being submitted is 4 weeks for an auditor to complete your h&s assessment. Our team endeavour to assess all questionnaires as quickly as possible and to provide as much assistance as possible. However if you would like to upgrade your package to have an express audit included or to include assistance from our team of expert IOSH and NEBOSH qualified auditors then this option is available to you also. To make the process faster next year, we recommend updating your documents throughout the year via our online portal, ready for when the questionnaire can be submitted 30 days before expiry. “The initial online portal for the submission of information we found to be frustrating and continually prompts you for information that is not relevant, and if you do not populate the field you are unable to move on. Post submission the initial feedback and requirement for additional information was repetitive and despite responding several times to state the request was not relevant we spent some days batting back the same responses. Finally the assessment was passed to a highly professional advisor who was very clear and concise, and this allowed us to conclude the audit in a very short period. I would of rated this experience higher if it hadn't of been for the poor nature of the portal for uploading information and the first post submission screening, after that the SAFE professional assigned and service was excellent.”

As part of awarding our UK-leading accreditation annually, our team of expert auditors need to ensure that all contractors have the relevant documentation in place to comply with health and safety legislation. Our audit process consists of an initial check by a Technical Support Officer and final sign off by and Auditor. On occasion, you may be asked to supply different information by the Auditor to ensure that you have provided all relevant documentation in place to comply with health and safety legislation. “Fairly easy to use the website but renewing the accreditation seems to me, to be almost identical to starting the process anew as if i had never done it before. Think the renewal process needs to be quicker and simpler, especially for smaller contractors if you are already accredited and just renewing.”
