“Fluff and fro bundles, experience was great for the first few weeks and then the hair lost its length and volume due to shedding( extremely bad shedding) .”

“I ordered both the think silk clip ins and the press’d clip ins. Whilst I found the think silk clip ins to be way too straight for natural hair, the press’d clip ins were slightly better in texture however, they do not take to heat well and the top of the clip ins stay crimped so even if you straighten your hair and the clip ins there will always be a difference in texture because of these crimps. I also found the extensions to be way too thin, it seems as though 2/3 orders would suffice for a full looking head of hair. The actual clips can also be a bit of a pain; I had a few in particular which were faulty and wouldn’t actually clip down. Overall, I would not purchase again but I do think yaki, natural textured clip ins is a great concept! Just needs further development”

“The wig was initially beautiful however the lace wasn’t bleached very well. See picture of the wig straight out of the box. The bleach touched some of the root of the hair on the wig and it needed to be hidden with black eyeshadow as it had an orange tint. The quality of the bundles is good (minimal shedding), I added 1 ruka bundles to it as I have bought quite a few of your products and have been following the company since you launched. The hair texture looks beautiful and natural and unlike other hair vendors root of the closure looked very natural because the root was curly and usually with curly hair it is straight at the root. The quality of the closure was not good as the lace balds very quickly while the rest of the wig remains thick. I love what Ruka stands for however I am quite disappointed I have a bald wig less than a few weeks.”

“I was not able to see the wig in person before purchasing it and had it ordered for pickup by my brother, who was coming to see me and would be able to bring it to me. The photo looked gorgeous (I got the 20-inch press'd headband wig) and I'd been meaning to try headband wigs for a while, so I took a chance. However, I have a small head. I asked on Instagram for the band to be measured for me, which the Ruka team was gracious enough to do, so I was aware that the band was going to be too long (as mentioned by a previous comment here). And it is, indeed, too long. I haven't had the opportunity to take it to a tailor to get it altered yet, and the hair is thick and I wear a headband over it, so it's not visible. But it does make the wig less comfortable/"easy" to wear. Speaking of headband: the attached headband is too wide to fit under your average wig headband or regular headband. It's, like, really big. They could cut the size by a third. Personally, I have to fold it over in order to be less clockeable. But the hair is indeed nice (although it tangles a *lot* for straight hair) if a bit dry, it sheds but not a crazy amount (I mostly finger-comb it), and people have repeatedly thought it was my hair. Half of them were white, but still.”

“Hey Ruka, I'm currently wearing braids so I haven't had the chance to try the ponytail on yet. I have been attempting to get the ponytail on my Lady M mannequin but it has been unsuccessful so far (LMAO). Maybe it's because I'm using an elastic band to tie my mannequin's hair into a bun. It's always so messy and comes undone when I try to put the ponytail on. Either way, I'm going to try again and get it right! The ponytail is beautiful. The handwritten note thanking me for the purchase was lovely. Thank you for that! I would like to add that there was an issue where I couldn't track my parcel which hindered the delivery process. This was a technical issue on Ruka's end however they responded quickly and took my complaint seriously. They were professional and polite. Overall this was a decent experience. Thank you for the ponytail.”

“The cap is soo small. When I tried it on it was extremely uncomfortable. If I’d worn it for long and used the teeth it would have damaged my hair with that much tension.”

“I bought two sets of clip ins, one straight one curly. The kinky straight clip ons are really good and the colour matched my hair well. Unfortunately when I washed them the water was brown (not nice) and seems like the colour rinsed off as they are no longer a perfect colour match with my hair. The curly clip ins shed like crazy and struggling to blend with my hair so regret this purchase. Hair feels nice overall but expected less shedding and permanent colour for the price paid.”

“I didn't want to leave this review but I thought about it and I feel it is good to give feedback. I bought Press'd Lace Wig × 1 and I have not been able to enjoy it as it shreds more than normal and is difficult to fit and style. It has been a very awful experience with it compared to the other units I have bought from you. I hope someone will look into it as I am very excited that we have a brand that caters to coloured skin. I am almost like your brand ambassador and I have referred countless of people to your Westfield branch before you moved. I am sorry I am unable to upload the wig at this time.”

“The hair is lovely and soft easy to straighten. A good fit. My only comment it’s not pre plucked, it comes with one band and the clips on the band does not look very steady. I will have to customise the wig because it does not feel secure on my head no grips. Your only security is glueing the front. Maybe it me, because I’m not use to wearing wigs.”

“It would be good if you did the wig cap in different sizes, as the wig cap is too big for me. It would also be nice to have the option of purchasing this wig with grey highlights for the more mature women. I know there are grey wigs on the market but they are completely grey and you don't find them in the kinky curly texture. The quality of the hair is good. I have had the wig customize in terms of getting the wig trimmed to complement my face. I am now looking forward to wearing it.”

“I was very excited to make my order at Ruka, finally! There were 2 things I wasn’t so happy about 1. The hair I ordered was collection only (1.5 hour journey to Stratford for a 10min interaction) 2. The person who served me seemed very uninterested in talking to me, which was evident when approaching the pop up. Once handed the bag, her back was turned to me and I left without so much as a bye/smile. I haven’t used the hair yet so happy to come back to you on this. If I do love the hair and order again if there is no delivery option I won’t be ordering. Lastly, the samples on display in Westfields seem to be old, dry and tangled, probably due to alot of touching by customers. Whilst waiting for my order to be retrieved I found myself hoping my order looked nothing like the display. So much so I took a picture. I want nothing more than for Ruka to win but operationally there are tweaks that can be made.”

“They hair is beautiful, looks, feels and smells fantastic and will blend perfectly with my natural hair leave out. Only complaint is I brought 2 bunches a 18inch initially and realised I wouldn’t have enough hair so then ordered a 20inch as well. They are both exactly the same length as you can see from the pics. On the left is the 18 on the right is 20inch I don’t know if this is a mistake or how the hair comes but I feel a little ripped off.”

“The wig is very well made, however l was disappointed with the parting as it wasn’t quite straight in the middle. I thought once l had fixed it on my head it would look better unfortunately it didn’t. The wig also doesn’t quite fit my head it’s too big even with the band inside. So am disappointed considering how much l paid.”
