Never received my bundles of hair to have braids installed before my newborns estimated due date. I also emailed Ruka asking for an update on my order and they never responded. Extremely disappointing esp. since I wanted to support this business even all the way from the USA. Heard about them while I was living in the UK. Now I’m looking to be refunded.

Not a texture match for my 4c hair and doesn’t come with a wrap around piece like most ponytails making it harder to install and hide the tracks.

Took nearly two weeks to arrive, returned it and I’m still waiting for a refund over 6 weeks later. There is no number to call if there is an issue and emails take days to receive a response. Very disappointed.

I didn’t like the texture of the hair. I bought 4 ayeee clip ins and it was a lot looser than what I typically think of with coily/4a texture. Offering low cost texture samples would be helpful. I won’t be able to use the clip ins on my natural texture.

Hair is horrible, it’s premium blended hair nothing similar to 4c once you actually receive it despite all the videos the hair is super thin, soft like clown hair, the hair is trash and a waste of money

I was initially very excited to try Rukahair. However, I have been severely disappointed. This is marketed as human hair however it clearly isn’t. As soon as I unwrapped the bundles and sprayed with water. The softness and bounce of the curls immediately disappeared and I was left with dry lifeless curls. The hair lasted two days before I was forced to take out the sew in as I was left with matted disgusting hair. I was hoping that I had finally found a brand with hair I can keep coming back to, unfortunately that was not the case and I will never buy from here again. I wasted my money on atrocious bundles. What a joke of a company. I will definitely NOT recommend to friends , in fact I will deter friends or anyone I know from ever supporting this sham of a company!

We're so sorry to hear about this experience Yasmin and have made a few attempts to get in touch with you to arrange a resolution! For complete transparency, operating within the hair industry (which is largely unregulated) means that we are vulnerable still to faulty goods and poor supplier behaviour and this occasionally and unfortunately leads to some of our stock falling short of the quality benchmarks we would usually pride ourselves on. The quality of the hair is atrocious, literally feels like Aliexpress hair. I'm deeply disappointed and returning the hair for a full refund. I wanted to support your brand but you give no choice with your poor selection of hair, as a customer willing to support a black-owned business, I will happily pay more for the hair if it were of good quality. P.S. I would give zero stars if i could.

We are passionate about building a hair extensions brand that can be trusted and we take pride in the quality of our hair extensions, having worked tirelessly with our sourcing team and manufacturers to create an award-winning product. However, (and it is a big however!) we are extremely conscious that despite our best efforts, we remain vulnerable still to faulty goods and poor supplier behaviour.
