“I ordered a black door for my own private garden. Installation team were amazing, salesperson less so. I was promised a premium, alarmed door and the product is good but I don’t see an alarm system anywhere. Range is good, very reliable and good build quality. Although I don’t know why the main junction box only comes in light grey”

“Had a few issues with clips breaking, this was repaired under warranty. The door is slow to open and has vastly reduced the headroom for entry into the garage. Looks good and has a manual release should the motor fail.”

“I bought a diy RD77 door after reading reviews on the internet, and I have mixed feelings. At the point of purchase I was told I’d receive notification of a delivery date yet they just turned up and luckily someone was home to accept the goods. I have a sample of the door slat and at no point of the cross section can I manage to measure 18mm as advertised. Lastly, and the most annoying part, they have manufactured the door to the incorrect size. I measured over and over again and then placed the order. I then received a confirmation telling me to check my measurements and confirm they are ok before production. All seemed good until I was half way through installation and the width was out by 10mm. This may not sound like much but it means I cannot trim the return correctly and that will really spoil the final finish of the door. That being said, the door looks good, install was easy and instructions easy to follow. I find it hard to believe how people snap the clips on the motor shaft and I suspect they will be good for years if installed correctly. If your not a competent diy’er then pay the extra for install!!!”

“The door is great. The remote, however, has needed replacing a number of times. I use it most days but over the last 4/5 years I have probably needed about 7/8 replacements. The button just fails on the pad. I would be happy to pay a little more for a more robust remote.”

Glad to hear that you think our product is good, we are very sorry to hear that you are disappointed that the garage door does not close with one press of the fob. The doors come as standard as hold to run close. This is currently mentioned on our website. However, we will look to make this clearer in the future.

“When it works its great but being thin alloy its temperamental and doesnt have a safe shut off so unrathels its self if it catches something. Delivery is abit slow when ordering spares parts”

“We bought two Rollerdors for self installation. Initially we had a lot of trouble with them (components broke and control units did weird things). To be fair to Rollerdor, they were very helpful over the phone and sent an engineer out to fix the problem. The doors have been fine since (they've been operating for a couple of months).”

“The service and advice are second to none. However I am disappointed with the functioning of the Rollerdor. One of the straps sheared off and I had to replace it at a cost and I got the opinion from the office that it happens quite often. I now have a problem that the stops which have been operating without problems have now been over-rided resulting in another sheared strap. I would be grateful if an engineer could visit and solve the problem. Thanks, Neil Foster 07972868288”

“As a fitter the door is fairly easy to fit. However I'm not impressed with the lack of security. Far too easy to lift the door from outside and gain entry. Raised this issue with the company and was told I could take some slats out to improve the lock down feature. Not sure it has a lock down feature even after doing this . Slats don't seem to be design to be removed anyway. At best the door is a good price and looks , installs and operates well. At worst it's a bit flimsy and unsecure. It's a door so security is important!”

Thank you for taking the time to review Rollerdor. It is indeed true that you can remove a slat to assist with adjusting the limits of the locking straps. If this is something you are having trouble with, we are happy to help by answering any questions you have over the phone. Alternatively, we have tutorials and guides on our website which may help. When installed correctly, our garage doors are safe and secure as the locking straps press the curtain firmly into place. Also, as there is no external handle, it is very hard for thieves to prise a Rollerdor garage door open. We have recently announced that our RD77 Executive roller garage door is now Secured By Design accredited so we are very confident in the security of our garage doors when fitted correctly.

“The door its self is great. The only disappointment for me was after giving the measurements for the height of the opening it was made to tall and I needed two more slats which I was charged extra for. Apart from that very pleased with the door itself.”

“This was my first roller door instalation,the fitting instructions were hard to follow and in the wrong order,which caused me to take things apart and do again.thay donot have an instalation video on there website or YouTube.this door does not come with saftey shutoff which is an exstra £150.overal iam pleased with the quality of the door but not with the insulation.”

“If you want a cheap very basic door this will be a good purchase, but if you want a door that is finished properly on completion then do your homework before hand as the company doesn't inform you of all the things you that are not standard like trim and automatic stopping if the door gets jammed cost another£60 call out.Other companies don't hide them but include them in the quote.”
