I purchased a door from rollerdoor and had it fitted by a very reputable builder/chippe, after 1 month a part failed damaging the door so rollerdoor charged me to send out guy to fix it , after a week the door was making banging noises going up so they sent a team out who said this was normal , I really don’t agree as it’s still banging and sounds awful, I think it will break again soon !

It is very much as one other user said...pot luck who deals with you on the day! Have used them in past and had a fairly straightforward pain free experience. Used them again recently and the service was shocking! Their engineers installed the garage door poorly. It was basically squashed into the space designed for. Their surveyor must have measured inaccurately prior to installation so the result was the track was installed bowing and bent. The casing for the cartridge was damaged pre installation as even their engineer confirmed that there was nothing in our garage obstructing or that could have caused the damage. The garage was empty at the time of installation. The result of the poorly installed door was that the roller curtain kept rubbing on the bent track resulting in scratches and terrible scuffs right down the front and middle of the slats. After months of emails back and forth and their reliance on us to send images and videos etc an engineer finally came out to assess. Myself and 2 other witnesses stood next to the engineer and listened to him clearly describe the issue and admitted that what they originally thought was our builder's fault, couldn't cause the damage being done to the curtain. We could all hear clearly from his phone call to the office, that he advised his colleague on the phone that a new curtain would be needed and that the damaged cartridge box looks like it could have happened in transit. We could hear his colleague say ok no problem. I asked the engineer if we needed any paperwork etc to liaise with the office and he said no that they would be in touch and set a date for replacement installation etc and that we didn't have to worry as things like this happen sometimes. He apologised for the inconvenience etc. After another 3/4 weeks I had had no news (assuming the replacement curtain was being manufactured). When I contacted Rollerdor, I was told that they would chase up. then Colin or Matt (lost track now!) advised that I would need to pay for the replacement curtain circa £600! I was seething at this point. Also couldn't understand why I would pay for a new curtain to be installed in a bent up warped track! No doubt replacing the track would be basically replacing the entire system! They didn't even seem to have a record of the engineer's attendance until I had to describe the distinctive looking chap for them to work out who attended! Never mind them admitting to any liability agreed over the phone! Its been the most stressful and frustrating experience we've ever had with a firm of contractors. Beware - you've got NO CHANCE of any accountability from them if you have ANY other contractor on your site. If they could pass liability onto another crowd for their mistake, they will! Our builders pulled bits of the walls, and facia down as per Rollerdor's request after being told that if the fascia wasn't installed, the door would work perfectly as it would pop straight out when being released from the 'pressure the fascia was causing'!! The fascia (very lightweight paperlike plinth) was taken off to prove or disprove their point, the track was still wrecking and rubbing against the door after fascia removal and Roller dor STILL wouldn't accept liability for their poor installation. The WORST bit of this is that one of their engineers who attended, confirmed that these doors take 20 mins to churn off on the factor floor so in the scheme of things to treat a repeat customer in such a shambolic manner and try to charge circa £600 for the privilege just beggars belief. I work for a property management company and have referred them in the past to other clients. So embarrassed by the service, will be contacting our other clients for their feedback and will no doubt apologise if they've had similar experiences. Tread cautiously with this crowd!

Thank you for taking the time to review Rollerdor. Unfortunately, we differ in opinion as to the issue you are experiencing. We have attended your property to assess your complaint on three separate occasions, each time concluding that the cladding fitted after the Rollerdor was installed was the cause of the rubbing and the damage. Your door was installed and running perfectly for a month before there was any report of damage and for this, we cannot accept liability. To clarify, the £600 you have referenced is a goodwill gesture to install a new curtain at a heavily discounted rate. As the damage has not been done by a member of our team and we have tried to meet a mutually agreeable outcome and we would welcome you to get in touch and re-open a dialogue. Many thanks The Rollerdor Team

Very average product with weak fitting Initially quite helpful, but be warned as they contract out the fitting, and won't take any responsibility without demanding money for redress. Basically, will get away with sub standard fitting, and aren't too fussed about happy customers. I had even recommended them to a friend reluctantly, who found then indescribably rude to deal with. Better companies are out there.

Horrendous experience from start to finish! Poor customer service to begin with as they do not ring back when they say! Took ages to book installation and then on the day nobody turned up!! Was assured that it would happen over a week later and we would be first appointment! 9am nobody 11am nobody, I ring at 1300 to be told they would be within the next hour, eventually turn up at 1600 just as getting dark, finished installation at 1900. Inspected the door in the daylight to find a couple of bricks had been chipped and the door was not sealed correctly! Rang again! Was told to send pics and they would look into it. Didn't hear anything back for almost 2 weeks until installer rings me to arrange to reseal and then he only did the outside! So finally after 6 weeks we are amazingly chased for payment, suddenly the customer service team are sharp and on the ball. So after wasting 2 days of waiting in for installation and very poor response, I hear you ask that I must have been given a decent discount for my inconvenience and their shoddy workmanship! Well....no! £50 off not even 10%. So if you can wait ages for installation and like bad customer service then use rollerdor, if not then....

It was 50 mm too narrow meaning that my runners show instead of being behind the wall. You offered to change it but my security was comprised so am having to live with it.

Very easy to fit... looks good too, however has anyone else noticed you can pull up the door a few inches even after all the slats are tight together when closed? hardly secure? no lock or anything.. also contacted as one fob did not work.. told to change the batteries! not the best considering it's new and £500! 3rd one I've ordered and to be fair 1st one I've had a problem with.

Great customer service upto delivery and whilst fitting, then once fitted and dents identifed in the door, the only contact since was a request for pictures of the damage, pictures of the dents were sent as requested from the team, nothing heard since the 3rd July. Door was fitted as per the intructions, quite easy with 2 persons, but their after sales service and rectification of points raised, very poor. Scratches on the door, near the top, so on delivery and fitting, unable to see them until the protective covering peeled off. I will await contact from them...........

Rolls door were great door worked well for 6 months then it went wrong. Company accused me that it was my fault and basically called me a lairer when i offered my explanation of why it went wrong .they sent a team out to fix it which they did well.they then tried to charge me £81 for this even though the door was only 6 month old. I said I was not going to pay as it should be covered by the guarantee.they they replied that they were not going to honour the guarantee. If it goes wrong again I will take them to trading standards as they clearly supplied goods not fit for purpose.my advice spend a bit more with another company and get better service
