We deal with large amounts of goods on a daily basis via our physical stores, established mail order website www.rimmersmusic.co.uk and dedicated education sales division with education catalogue (distributed to over 26,000 schools and Music Services all over the country).

Via these couriers we give tracking information for timed delivery slots (in most cases). We also sell specialist items that require an additional level of delivery service, items such as acoustic upright or grand pianos. These specialist delivery items are delivered by our trained team of experts who know how to handle items of this nature, are fully insured, professional and give our customers the installation with the care and attention they deserve.

Received emails from Rimmers Music which were totally inaccurate and misleading. I was informed by your emails that I requested a change in delivery instructions and was mentioned an address in UK and delivery date. All the info mentioned in your emails were totally puzzling to me especially about my address as being in the UK. The only accurate information I received were from eBay and DHL which promptly delivered as the date and time mentioned in their emails.Apart from the puzzling emails, I am glad that I received the item in good order.

We are very sorry this customer is not happy with our service. Looking into the order I can confirm the order placed was delivered on time. We will look into the emails the customer recieved that confused them. The feedback it a little harsh considering the item ordered was delivered within 24 hours.

Delivery poor. Next day delivery didn't happen resulting in a frustrating, wasted day. Packaging damaged, possibly entered but goods not damaged. The Hofner shorty guitars are just what I wanted and I'm verry pleased with them.

I have been disappointed with the level of service I received from Rimmers. Firstly, I ordered a piano on a Friday evening and it wasn't delivered until Weds morning so hardly next day delivery. Secondly, the customerservice@rimmers.co.uk is an unmonitored email address. I replied twice and didn't get a response. If Rimmers are serious about customer service then this has to change to be a monitored service. Thirdly, Rimmers do not provide delivery tracking information. Musical Instruments by their very nature are heavy, bulky and expensive. I think in this day and age it is not unreasonable that adequate delivery tracking is passed on from the company to the customer. An email stating that the goods have been dispatched is simply not good enough. Rimmers need to change their business processes to take the responsibily for providing their customers with full links to courier tracking services including consignment numbers allocated by the courier. I raised these concerns with Rimmers via email and was told a supervisor was looking into it. Two weeks later I haven't had a response so I don't have the feeling that I'm a valued customer.

We are very sorry this customer is unhappy with our service. I will answer each point. First of all the order was after 4pm on Friday which is the cut off time for delivery for next working day. This means the order would be processed on Monday for delivery Tuesday. This information was emailed to the customer via automated systems that we have checked are working, sometimes emails can be blocked at the receiver, like junk or spam etc, we know these emails were sent. We supply tracking information, which again was emailed to the customer. As for why they did not get the product on Tuesday as they should have, the courier is saying a delivery was attempted and the customer was not at home so a card was passed to them stating the order would be delivered the following day, which took place. We are very sorry this customer is not happy and we always respond to customer service emails, after all we want to get repeat sales and recommendation. Our Operations Manager has already attempted to contact this customer several times but had no response as yet.

Informed the next day after I ordered online that there would be 2 weeks delay with my order . Not received it after 2 weeks, so asked for an update - no clear answer regarding when I would receive it. Arrived eventually, with 3 weeks delay. Also there was no invoice /warranty included in the parcel.

We are extremely sorry this item had a delay from the supplier beyond our control due to bad weather conditions at the time. Looking in the notes I can see we did email to let the customer know but possibly this wasn't seen. Once again we are sorry. Reaging the invoice we do not send a paper invoice and clearly state this. The reciepts are all via email.

The product purchased was a Christmas present. It is now unwrapped and everything works fine, for which I'm grateful, but the delivery process was appalling. (You should not advertise a next day delivery promise if you cannot fulfil that promise). After two days staying in to receive my purchase I tried to chase information by way of emails, telephone and direct online chat. No information was forthcoming from any source (I did get a phone call answered on a Saturday but that proved to be a shop and the person on the phone could only confirm my order details and knew nothing regards delivery). After a number of days, and after I had begun procedures to get my money returned from my credit card company, I received an email "out of the blue" telling me the first piano "had been lost" and another was on its way. It was, and arrived TWO days later. So, full marks for the purchase process, a niggling one out of five for customer service.

This customer purchased on Finance which was referred and took time to clear before we could arrange despatch. We replied to emails within 24 hours at the busiest time at Christmas which we think is reasonable. TNT did have an extra day delay getting the order to the customer due to bad weather conditions. We gave the customer full details to contact the courier but they insisted they contact us, meaning we then contact the courier and then have to get back to the customer, making the process take longer to resolve than it needed to if the customer would simply contact the courier directly! We are sorry this customer is not completely satisfied considering we gave a massive discount on the product to them.

Promised delivery on 12/12/17 for me to take keyboard in car to Germany. Phoned to check it was in stock. Assured it was. Then received email to say it would be another 7 days. No apology.I had to carry the keyboard onto a flight where I had no checked bags paid for. Not happy

The customer misread the stock message. We also emailed within 30 minutes of placing the order that the item would take 7 days to get to the customer. We cannot guarantee any delivery 100% as circumstances beyond our control can happen, such as accidents on the road, bad weather etc, but we will always do our best as we did in this case.

Could not deliver Yamaha guitar I ordered even though still on their website after telling me delivery could be up to two months. Asked them to contact me to discuss an alternative but this never happened. Lost this sale through poor service.

My order was delivered on time on Thursday 14th December and I needed to speak to customer services. I called immediately and was asked to leave a message so they could call me back. I'M STILL WAITING!!

Item not available from supplier, but advertised on the website with an estimated delivery time. The only reason for 2* review was the reasonably quick refund

As the review says we gave an estimated delivery time ie 7 days it was going to take 10 days. We informed the customer within 4 hours of placing the order. Our communication was excellent.

The guitar was delivered well past specified date. The order was incomplete (missing a acoustic gig bag). The guitar was not set up, although, there is a set up available but I don't know how that works. Communication was good with prompt replies to enquiries and of course the product itself was the cheapest around. I would buy from Rimmers again but they could do with delivering on the promises in their deals. Paul Fleury

The guitar was completely set up ready to play and we offer an additional set up worth £45.00 for FREE. All you have to do is get the guitar to us and buy a set of strings. We then set up to showroom condition. The courier split the delivery and was late, for this we are sorry but we did resolve the issue within 24 hours.

I ordered a guitar for my granddaughter's birthday and because it was only 10 days away I used Rimmer's because it claimed next day delivery. After waiting a week, I received an e-mail off Rimmer's telling me the guitar was out of stock and offering me a different guitar. Reluctantly I accepted because even though my granddaughter had her heart set on a pink guitar there was no time to order from anywhere else. I expected the guitar to come the next day in time for her birthday but nothing showed up. I had to attend her birthday party with no present and had her in tears. On the following Monday I e-mailed Rimmer's to find out what was going on and was told the replacement guitar was also out of stock but they'd send me one out in about a week. Sick to the back teeth of Rimmer's continuing to disappoint me I asked for my money back. The only reason I've given you a 'poor' rating instead of 'terrible' is because at least you returned my money promptly.

This review is not entirely true. We are sorry that the initial item was not available. The customer was informed within 4 hours of this when they placed the order which stated 7 days for delivery. The customer took a while to get back to us causing a delay with the resolution. We are sorry that we had a delay from the supplier but we did email to notify.

Ordered a guitar that was supposed to ship in 2-3 days, 7 days later still no sign and when I rang was told it was due in from supplier. This excuse was given for nearly 3 weeks so I ended up cancelling the order. Only contact I had was when I rang them, very poor service and I won't buy from them again.

I ordered a digital piano online and paid. It was supposed to come in one week but they came back saying they do not have it on stock and would take 4-5 weeks to procure. My simple request - please do not post products that are not on your stock. It is misleading and waste time and efforts of everyone involved. Thank you

We said we usually deliver this item within 7 days. This is usually true but the supplier had a delay with this item. We kept excellent communication with the customer all the way. We are sorry about the delay.

Like many other stores an Item that was not available was advertised. I ordered a ukulele and was led to believe it would be delivered the next day, when it failed to arrive I contacted the store and after a member of staff checked I was informed it was not in stock at the suppliers, a fact that I had been aware of for over a month. That the website said it was available I cancelled an order with another company and now have re-ordered at an increased price..

We have 21000 products on our website sometimes stock errors occur. We are sorry and we informed the customer by email within 2 hours of the order being placed. When they called next day we discussed options that they declined. We are sorry about the error and we are much better than 1 star considering we informed the customer about the error within 2 hours of recieving the £20.00 order.

We ordered a digital drum kit from Rimmers, as they had a good price and offered free next day delivery, on a Wednesday so that we would receive it in time for Saturday. Unfortunately, I didn't find out until the Thursday, when it was supposed to be delivered, that in fact the item wasn't in stock, and that their supplier would be the one sending it out. I was then assured that it would be delivered on the Friday between 9am-6pm. It wasn't until 5pm on the Friday, after phoning them relentlessly asking whether it would actually be delivered or not, that I was told the item had been lost with the courier and would not be getting delivered in time. It came on the Monday, but it was too late by this point, and we had to hire a drum kit instead, and ended up costing my company around £300. They were able to refund us £100, but this was not enough to satisfy my experience with this retailer.

We are sorry we made a mistake with this item. We offered (as they have stated) £100.00 discount as compensation to wait for the item or a refund of the order (meaning we make a loss to hopefully retain the customer as satisfied). Why decide to wait and then leave an aggressive feedback? This feedback is very harsh considering what we gave them. Mistakes can happen from time to time and we always do our best to resolve them. This customer has no compassion for human error and efforts made to resolve them. To accept an apology and £100.00 compensation and then leave a negative feedback of this nature is heartless.

You said on your website that if I ordered by 4pm then I would have it by next day delivery. In fact it took a week. You should not make promises you cannot keep.

Rimmers boasts next day delivery yet 2 weeks after my order is yet to receive it, despite being told it was dispatched and money taken from my account. After 2 separate online chats with staff members I was finally told their supplier in the Netherlands didn't get the order. The whole process was handled very poorly.

On purchasing the item online on a Sunday it stated next day delivery. On calling Rimmers music on Thursday (4 days later) they guaranteed delivery on Saturday (in 2 more days). Saturday came and no delivery was made. I called again to be told that the item wasn't even in stock! I could either wait till the following week sometime, with no date given, or get a full refund. I opted for a refund as needed the item as a gift for the next day! The only reason for not rating Rimmers music as 'Very Poor' is due to the lady in customer services who dealt with the refund quickly and apologetically.

This feedback is not true the customer has not read the details correctly. Many items we can deliver next day and we advertise this fact. Some items ae postal items and some items take longer to deliver or need ordering in. On this order it clearly stated it would take 7 days to deliver, it was also repeated on the customers order setails and emailed also. We could not make it any clearer that this order would take 7 days to arrive. This person has not read the order or details on the item and made a mistake. This feedback is unfair and should be removed.
