“I had an external hard drive with all the family photos and photography college work on that failed to be recognised by my laptop. I researched repair options and decided it was too important a job to trust to YouTube. I took it to a local market trader who was unable to help, however, he gave me the details of R3 Data Recovery (a previous customer had success with them) I called for a quote, and sent it off for initial investigation. I was then sent a list of files that could be retrieved and a list of 'problem files. and asked if I would like to proceed with further work to retrieve those. I went ahead. The upshot was they were very professional, from the initial call, through to the method of sending the disk back and subsequent update communications. The files were supplied back, on a replacement external 1tb hardrive (additional cost, compatible with Amazon so that seemed fair) I was advised to back-up this external drive with a 2nd and store away from home, for security which I'm in the process of doing. Whilst the price did creep up, I was happy with the service.”

Hi Toni In this case the drive did need two donors and rebuilds to maximise the quality of the recovery from the Western Digital WD15EARS-00MVWB0. This 1.5TB drive had served a decade and was problematic but the recovery costs were kept down as there was only a relatively small amount of 80 GB of data needed which helped reduce what could have been a long and expensive recovery had the drive been full. Glad we could be of service, we do our best to maximise our success rates in order to keep costs down. Technically many DR labs would have declared this one unrecoverable because of the additional work and specialist data recovery equipment and expertise needed. Thank you for your review which can help others looking for a real data recovery lab. From your enquiry "I dropped my 2017 MacBook. The screen broke so took in for replacement. When they unscrewed the back, they discovered the motherboard is broken. Are you still able to retrieve data? And a rough quote please" In this case the onboard SSD was affected as well as the LCD connector which had been torn from the logic board as well. R3 have highly skilled micro soldering technicians who were able to make temporary repairs to facilitate gaining access to the onboard SSD to recover the data. Glad R3 could be of service. Thank you for your review Usman The symptoms of your Seagate ST8000DM004 pointed to a previous knock, drop or abrupt power interuption. -------------------------------------- - Last week started getting slower and slower. - Spinning fine - No mech noises - Est. Nearly full. - Been to a local IT, who tried cloning but stopped at 400GB. --------------------------------------- The drive was unable to handle an accumulation of bad sectors. After a bit of Googling I suspect it may be the read-write head stuck onto the disk drive platter?" The Western Digital WD10JMVW was inspected in the cleanroom, both 2 platters had minimal scratches and all 4 heads were present with the filter and chassis clean of any debris. An R3 engineer completed the rebuild using the matching donor supplied from our own parts stock, this helped with a full read of all sectors used by the data needed totalling 566.4GB Gald we could be of service. Thank you for your review of R3 Data Recovery . In this case the insurance company were covering the cost and Nick wanted wanted it processed by a secure data recovery lab. In this case the data over 14TB was recoverable thanks to the redundancy of RAID5, despite all working Seagate Constellation ES.3 Enterprise-class disks having bad sectors and one failed clicking disk having severe platter damage. The data returned on a new 48TB Lacie. "The drive is a Lacie 5Big 20TB Raid with a variety of data on it, but mostly video clips and Picture Images. I believe disk 2 is the sick one. Light blinking red, and beeping. "

The MaxOne storage was a Toshiba MK3265GSX 320GB which in over a decade had developed bad sectors but was fully recoverable with help from R3 Data Recovery engineers. "I have a MaxOne Hard Drive that I have been using this morning but appears to have just stopped working. My IT department believes there may be a problem with the information board. I wondered whether someone could give me a quote to see if you can recover the files on it."

Donor sourced externally. Outcome : Successful recovery despite scratch rings Stats: Folders - 9833 Files - 85010 ( 110.74 Gb) Normal Files - 83636 Problem Files - 1374 Data returned on client supplied usb drive. Another successful recovery by the engineers at R3 Data Recovery the data recovery hospital.

“My 1TB external hard drive stopped working several years ago & contained approx 5 years of family photos that I was not able to recover using various data recovery software versions. Having trawled the internet on numerous occasions, I came to the conclusion there are an awful lot of people trying to claim they can recover anything, but often at formidable cost upfront & no guarantee. The reviews of some of the more common companies did not make pleasant reading either & there was every chance of being ripped off & my data lost. So I decided not to risk my hard drive or my money. Due to family pressure, I decided to do another trawl this year & found R3 Data Recovery, which stood out as different as they had consistently good reviews for capability, cost, communication, good info video of the whole process, etc. So nervously I took the plunge. What incredible service !!!! Thank you for your review of R3 Data Recovery In this case a 10 year old Western Digital 3.5" WD10EARS-00MVWB0 had developed bad sectors on one surface possibly as a result of a knock or abrupt power disconnect during its long service life. Although the data was inaccessible R3 were able to regain control of the existing head stack and recover the data without the need of a rebuild at the lowest price quoted during initial enquiry. “My laptop hard drive crashed and I thought I'd never see its files again. Then I referred it to R3, who I had come across several years prior through a YouTuber they had helped out, and their service was excellent. Once it was collected, they communicated updates to me at every step and managed to promptly return a full recovery, so I now have all those files back again exactly as they were. Many thanks for your review Andy Your Seagate Drive Drive was spinning up but had a firmware issue due to bad sectors resulting in an incomplete passport, showing lock led CC error in terminal, this was patched and full SA backup SMP patched in RAM and sector access restored without need of new heads.. A 100% recovery of around 100GB of data made up of 1100 sub folders containing autocad drawings and word documents.
