Dear Sirs, Further to receipt of the above detailed order I was not very pleased with the form of some of the drill bits received, in particular the 3.3 mm & the 4.2 mm drills. I had been drilling a number of 12.7mm square bars in my milling machine, preparing to tap 4mm threaded holes using the 3.3mm drills supplied by you. After drilling out these bars I proceeded to tap the 4mm threads only to find that the drilled holes were larger than 3.3mm. Subsequently the 4mm thread taps were just passing through the holes and not cutting a thread!!!! On inspection of the drill bits I found that the drill points were offset and incorrectly ground. (Please see attached photographs for detail) This has resulted in me now having to cut off the drilled sections of bar and re-drilling all 9 bars again. (thankfully there is sufficient length in the material to allow me to do this). With regards to the 2.5mm drill bits, they seem to be reasonable, but I will still re-sharpen then as a precaution. However on inspection of the 5mm drill bits I feel that the drill points are not quite correct and that these will all need to be re-sharpened, as they were purchased specifically for use in pre-drilling and tapping I do not want a repeat performance of the above. I hope that you will look at your quality control, or get your suppliers to do look at theirs. It is so frustrating to have to do all this rework. Regards Roger David

the drill bits we bought seem fine but the taps were rubbish and didn't even cut a thread

Ordered 2 masonry drill bits, size 11mm and 12 mm. Drill bits arrived quickly. The 12mm bit seemed actually to be 12mm, but the 11mm bit was much bigger than the 12mm. Maybe my ignorance, but this seemed very curious. I had to do the job that day and so had to use the 12mm bit and have ended up with holes which are too big.

Core drills purchased were not suitable for cutting horizontal wall penetrations through brick. Tools vibration was to the point of dangerous when working at height and job had to be abandoned. End result was using a marked penetration and systematically drilling a circle of smaller holes before knocking the brick out.

I needed precision. The drill bits supplied were mostly bent and out of spec by up to about half a mm. A few were exact and at the price, it was worth it for these Ok but the others went in the bin. I have since bought several other exact sizes from a different well-known supplier and these are all exact to 0.05mm and not bent. Yes, they cost more. I did wonder why these drill bits were so incredibly cheap.

The order took so long to arrive that I had to buy the same bit locally to get the job done on time. Also the bit was available at Toolstation slightly cheaper and without having to pay for postage. So the order was a complete waste of money.

I bought 2 types of drill bit from this company, both the same diameter but different prices, of the cheaper not one was correctly ground on the tip having uneven cutting edges. Of the more expensive ones "premium" some of them were not ground correctly. So I was disappointed on that score but not too surprised considering the price. BUT this company sells on "Quality ". I did email the company pointing out my observations but thet did not bother to reply, so draw your own conclusions .

Very cheap forstner bits but not sharp. Shouldn't have expected more due to price. No option to track order and when I completed a contact form to enquiry did not receive a reply

Okay, the order process and delivery is fine. I used a reduced shank HSS 14mm drill to go through a 4mm steel door, I needed to drill 6 holes. After two, the drill was basically blunt. Had to use another drill I happened to have. So not convinced by the quality.

I was being recommended in a blog to buy Forstner bits from UK Drills because of the good quality. However the purchased bits were China "quality" and even had chipped sides - probably also originally purchased/originated from China. - so I don't recommend buying the Forstner bit set.
