“Troubled with Slender Speedwell and needed a specialist weedkiller, hence searched the Progreen products. Bought Polax. Arrived quickly (though an expensive product) and I applied with hand spray as per instructions. I must admit I thought the weed would just curl up and die in a few days but it didn't, although I suspect it did the job as the weed stopped and started to turn yellow after a week . In the end I pulled all the weed out that had been treated by hand after about a week. I did get some spots of burn to the grass around the weed, this may have been the poor condition of the grass itself. Obviously a powerful weed killer, treat carefully. I want to reseed the patches where the weed has been removed but will have to wait at least 4 weeks, so slightly disappointed with the wait. Overall it seems the only solution for Slender Speedwell that has had any effect.”

We're happy that you received the result on speedwell as it is a tough weed to control and Polax is one of the few to treat it. As with all pesticides the maximum dose rates should not be exceeded but it's more likely the grass yellowed due to stress and will recover with some TLC. Try liquid seaweed+ to replenish nutrients and improve grass health. If you would like to speak to us about this please do not hesitate to contact us.

“Our lawn suffers from heavy moss growth. Using sulphate of iron dissolved in water and spread with a watering can is easily applied and has been very effective in controlling moss, crucially without scorching the lawn as I always manage to do with lawn sand. Greening the grass without causing accelerated growth makes this product very useful.”

“Site very easy to use. Goods arrive very quickly and are value for money. My daughter moved home last year and her garden was full of mare's tail weed, we search the internet to identify the weed and found Progreen weed control solutions. The weed killer was very good killed the weed off, we were warned it might return next spring, it has but only a very small patch so have had another order. We would recommend this product to anyone.”
