“We bought a lampshade to replace our old John Lewis one, and we are very pleased with the replacement ans realise we should have done this years ago. I was surprised at the cost of the item though.”

“Lamp base has defect and metal connection for bulb isn't straight. Unfortunately don't gave time to return but really disappointed by craftsmanship.”

Hi Lee, I'm sorry your base has arrived with some defects you're not happy with. Our ceramic bases are hand-glazed, so small pocks in the glaze are common, which highlights the craftsmanship that goes into this. However, we do appreciate that this may not be everyone's taste so we can certainly replace this for you! “I thought the lamp I ordered was really pretty, it looked like the photograph and the quality appeared sound. I admittedly didn't look at the measurements before I received the lamp but thought, given the price, it would be a medium sized lamp. When it came it was really very small and I was disappointed that something that costs almost £130 was so small. I understand that the quality is good but I don't believe it was good enough value for money.”

“The ordering, delivery time and product quality was good. I felt the packaging was poorly thought through. The item arrived in a massive and wasteful box- something we are all conscious about now. However the most fragile of the items was scantily wrapped in paper. ( It was not broken but this intuitively seemed illogical. There were no instructions with the light fitting.”

Hi there, Thank you for your feedback. We are acutely aware of our carbon footprint and the impact we have on the environment. That is why, for the most part, our packaging is almost entirely recyclable and for those elements that cannot be we are always researching for alternatives that will ensure our products arrive in perfect condition at their destination. If we use bubble wrap it is an eco friendly form that can be recycled but unfortunately only at recycling plants that have invested in the equipment to do so, which is sadly lacking in the UK at present. The only element of our shade packaging that is non-recyclable is a light plastic wrap that goes around the shade itself to project the fabric. All other elements of the packaging are fully recyclable and are needed to ensure safe delivery.
