“three visits and we still have a problem”

“The wasp removal treatment was done. But post that, we have been struggling with a foul smell emanating from the kitchen duct (where the treatment was done). When I tried to contact Cliff, he was not willing to remove the nest and also start ignoring my messages. It was very disappointing that he did not help me post the treatment and hence I will not recommend pest control to anyone.”

Thank you for your review. If it was simple to remove the nest, we would, but our technicians expertise doesn’t stretch to working on electric extractor fans, and taking them apart. Our treatment was carried out externally, where the wasps were entering your extractor unit. I am sorry to repeat our advice, but you need to speak to a kitchen specialist who deals with extractor fans and knows how to safely take them apart and put them back together. With the nest now dead, they can safely work on the extractor unit, which is something we don’t know how to do.

“Came to get rid of our mole problem. Made 1 visit. 10 traps put down. Came back following week . No moles caught Said that was end of the treatment! We had to pay £180 in advance and we made a complaint about poor service. Got a refund of £90 after complaining. Not a happy customer. !”

Thank you again for your feedback and apologies for the poor experience. We appreciate customers leaving reviews as it’s the best way to find out how to improve our service. As you are now aware, I spoke with our local technician, and he explained your mole issue was a bit of an unusual case for him, in that it was a very large area and in his opinion, was better suited for gassing (with a 100% success rate). He thought he explained that whilst trapping is an option, it would require so many visits, with numerous traps (more than he currently holds) to get anywhere near the success rate of gassing that, in his opinion, it didn’t make sense. However, he didn’t mean to leave you with the impression that gassing was the only option open to you. He is very successful with trapping, but this the the largest job he had come across in his time with PestControl.co.uk. We do try to delight all our customers, and with that in mind we have refunded the £60 that you were charged for the visit. Thank you again for the feedback and opportunity to make things right.

“we had our whole house sprayed and left it empty did everything they said but still have fleas that havent gone. very disappointed as you pay the. monies leave the chemicals and not clean for 21 days and this happens and the problem not resolved”

“Came out twice then took all traps and poison away despite still having mice. Just a money making scam would never use or recommend. Went with the council half the price much better service”

“We found the service provided to be very superficial and therefore poor value for money. Failure to detect several clear points of access for mice from the foundations into the house. The use of a type of poison in the bait, which (we are told by the experts whom we were obliged to consult since your treatment was ineffectual) is allegedly illegal. We paid a bit more than £228 (two visits) for a total of around an hour of "work" - rather less actually. No suggestion of a final, follow-up visit to assess the effect of your efforts. I'm afraid we would not recommend you.”

“I was not happy with the service. I asked the hive to be inspected. The company should have told me that the hive will move from one extractor to the one next to it. This is what happened. Will not use the service again.”

“I will not recommend to any one. Expensive . Anyone can place the poison in the loft. Unable to collect dead rat. Left in really bad conditions. Please do not use them .”

“Richard was pleasent enough but didn't really inspire confidence. The service was a complete waste of money as having treated the wasp nest it continued to thrive! Although difficult to reach the other company I used didn't have a problem so I won't be using Pest Control.co.uk again or recommending it to others!”

“They failed to comply with our agreement. A fortnight visit for a total of three visits, we started in Mid Feb and I still have the baits and the traps and no third inspection. I appreciate the lockdown, but the work should have been completed well before then. It is now May”
