“I bought one of your shaving soaps and I'm very impressed with it, will definitely look to buy it again. I really like the idea of being as ‘eco-friendly’ as possible but I do have a little observation; before mentioning it, I do realise that it’s difficult for companies at this time. The soap came in a couple of cardboard boxes; great, they’ve gone in the recycling. There was a small card with it, which will also be recycled. On the card it thanks me for going ‘plastic free’ with you, however, the soap itself was in a plastic wrapper. You may feel I’m being picky but that goes against ‘plastic free’. Is there an alternative that can be used? Or will this increase costs significantly? Thanks very much and if you’re able to reply through this facility, I’d be interested in your observations. Graham.”

Hi Graham, Thanks so much for your review! We really appreciate your feedback. You'll be glad to know that the shaving soap you purchased is 100% plastic free. They come wrapped in a 100% compostable & biodegradable cellulose film that breaks down in compost or landfill. Only some soaps are packaged like this and it's ensure your soap stays as fresh as possible on its journey to you, however please rest assured that this soap was free of plastic. “Customer service was very helpful when I was making initial enquiries. I bought mascara, moisturiser, kids beechwood toothbrushes and sun cream. It's always going to be an adjustment buying natural products. I'm giving some time to get used to the sun cream and the mascara. The sun cream doubles nicely as an insect repellent, but I think it may have left pink marks on the white clothes, it didn't stain though. You just have to be a bit careful. It came in quite a small container and I'm going to have to use it just on my face, as I think if I wanted to use it on my whole body, it would be gone in very quickly. The mascara requires a bit more time to be visible and does wear off, so for the price I'd salt be tempted to look around. The kids toothbrushes are great and my kids love them 6&8. The nature skin moisturiser is nice too.”

“I ordered some natural beeswax for my hair but I don't think it's particularly effective as I have thinning curly hair, and as a mixed-race guy, I think I need something a bit 'stronger'. So I've knocked off one star for that but otherwise an excellent website/service all around!”
