The Young Doctors’s course at Oxford Scholastica Academy was a memorable experience for my daughter. She met people from all over the world and is still in contact with some of them. The course provided her with a clearer vision of what she wants to do in the future. She improved her science and English knowledge. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Dear Anne, I am glad we were able to help Nathalie clarify the vision of her future and we are glad to hear she is still in touch with students she met over the summer. Thank you very much for leaving us a review. Best wishes, Jamie

It’s been several months since our son participated in Oxford Scholastica Academy’s summer school program and he STILL talks about how it was one of the most memorable experiences of his life. He was able to interact with students from 20 different countries and remains in close contact with many of them; surely they will be lifelong friends. The program offered a combination of rigorous, personalized academics; cultural experiences; and LOTS of fun! I can’t speak highly enough of the chaperones and tutors who took such good care of and made a lasting impression on our son.

Our daughter's experience with the Oxford Scholastica Academy was extremely positive. When we went to pick her up after two weeks, she wished she could stay another two weeks. The team was well organized and energetic. She enjoyed her classes, especially the introduction to debating. So much so, that she has started a debating club in her current school. The Academy offers great potential for students to learn things outside their usual boundaries.

Oxford Scholastica Academy was an amazing summer experience. The courses were complete, engaging and fun ; I learnt more in those two weeks than I thought possible and our tutor gave us a exciting first approach to psychology. However, the course weren't even the best part (which says everything about how great the academy was). I met the most wonderful people with whom I shared the loudest laughs and deepest conversations. The days were very fulfilling, between the intense courses in the morning and the full on activities in the afternoon, there was never a minute of boredom. The food, of course, was delicious and the staff was extraordinary. The daytrips to Windsor and London were also a great addition. Overall, I'll never forget the summer school, the people I met or the friends I made.

Oxford scholastica was one of the best experiences of my life. Not only does it broaden your perspective of the world and its inhabitants, the academic part of it proves to be really helpful in professional lives as well. I, now a first year medical student, am able to put the knowledge gathered at oxford scholastica to good use in my university, and this is what sets me apart from from the rest of my fellows university students. Our tutor, Dom, was an amazing teacher and built our concepts really well and in a way that they'll remain with us throughout life. I wish i could do oxford scholastica all over again. Plus they take really good care of you and make you feel like you're at this home away from 'home'. Best of luck to Jamie, sophie and the team!

I know everyone says that but it was honestly the best two weeks of my life. I met so many different people and made so many long lasting friendships. I met my best friends today in Oxford. The classes were really good and the best part was that we were treated as young independent adults. I would definitely recommend it to friends and would do it again myself if I could. Loved every bit of it.

As a parent of an English student living abroad it was great to find a course so well organised for my son to attend during the summer of 2015. As was my intention it was an introduction in part to life at university in the UK where my son will be studying in the near future. Staying at Oxford halls and having relative freedom of the city and most importantly creating long-lasting friendships with complete strangers in a short period of time were invaluable lessons. The two weeks were tremendously well scheduled with lots of activities both educational and social. My son returned a more outgoing, confident and mature person and I will be forever grateful to Jamie and his very capable team for this opportunity. Many thanks again for such a wonderful experience.

Oxford Scholastica was one of the best experiences of my life. Not only was I very well looked after, with all members of staff being nurturing and responsible, but during these 2 weeks I was able to meet absolutely amazing people from all over the world. In addition, the course I took, Enterprise Academy, was informative and entertaining. Class sizes were small enough to get plenty of feedback from our tutor, but large enough to be able to have engaging, interesting discussions on the topic of economics and the business world. The academy had a perfect balance of social activities and academics and I would no doubt recommend it to anyone in the age range for the camp who is looking for, as quoted, the most memorable summer of his/her life.

The overall experience is memorable, and life-changing. Besides making friends from all over the world, I have discovered myself in the process, confirmed my interests and nurtured my passion for medicine. The social and cultural aspects were fantastic. Oxford Scholastica has also given me exposure to different things, such as debating, history, philosophy etc. I've learnt some fascinating things in the Young Doctors Academy, however, would've enjoyed it even more if there were longer lesson times.

Oxford Scholastica Academy was easily the best experience of my life so far. I learned more than I thought possible in a span of just two weeks, made friends from every corner of the world and lived memories with them that will stay with me for a lifetime. The staff was very welcoming and friendly and made me feel at home from day 1.

Prior to attending the Oxford Scholastica Academy, the image I had of this summer camp was far different than what I was expecting; I'll explain it in a few words: I had expected OSA to be a summer camp with an unpleasant amount of workload, no time for fun and studies was our #1 priority, but it was the complete opposite. The first day, Jamie told us that some people had the best summer of their lives at OSA, and hearing that made me giggle, as I completely underestimated the influence OSA had on me later on. As I left the camp, I looked back and thought of how well this camp balanced the activities and its values: I learned a lot (In the Engineering course, that I'm applying right now in my senior year at school, very useful), I made a lot of new friends (that I still speak to almost everyday), the staff at OSA were remarkably amusing and friendly, and the whole management was amazing. Hats off to Jamie Dear for actually, making OSA the best summer camp I've ever attended and probably making it the best summer I've had.

I felt very warmly welcomed by the friendly staff the moment I arrived at the airport, which was a relief considering it was my first time travelling alone, and my first time to the UK. Ice-breaking was a very good idea in my opinion. The accommodation was extremely comfortable - we were looked after very well by the Dame and the Scholastica staff. I personally enjoyed the food, and there was a good balance between self-arranged and group meals, as it allowed us to socialise and bond even with students who took other courses or were in the other house. The classes were interactive, fun but also thought-provoking. My Law course definitely gave me more insight into the subject field, although I wouldn't have minded if it was a bit more work-intensive. That's subject to opinion, of course. Enjoyed the outings. I'm well-aware some people broke curfew rules but to be honest, curfew was an excellent idea. It made sure we were safe and had enough rest, regardless if we were hanging around the accommodation or actually in our rooms sleeping. The room itself - clean, cosy, tidy, thanks to the cleaning-man. Didn't use the laundry service but imagined it to be relatively efficient? Overall, my first summer school and a much cherished experience. Best of all: met friends from all over the world.

My daughter, Rohma Amjad, had a wonderful experience that she says she will always remember. Interacting with teachers and students of various nationalities, learning about the English culture and traditions, and learning more about her subject, Economics, were the key takes from this trip. She is still in touch with her friends in her batch, and still cherishes her memories of Oxford.
