This ORA summer course that I did was unforgettable. I have had so many adventures and made the best, best friends. I was slightly apprehensive as to whether I should do this course or not, but this course was an enlightening one. I did the New Perspectives Course and my lessons were very interesting. The classes are fun, hard working classes where you will be stretched. The lessons I learnt is going to be with me forever, and the friends that I made are gold, pure gold.

During the summer school at St. Mary's School I met many different people from all over the world! I liked the fact that everyone was looking out for each other and making everyone feel happy! I enjoyed the course and the activities that the house counsellors organised for us! I had a great time and I didn't want to leave!

Overall, the most enriching and fulfilling experience a student could ask for. In all levels, academically and culturally, ORA excels in providing the best for their attendees, having a wide range of engaging activities and the best opportunities to get to know other cultures and lifestyles. I would, without a doubt, recommend the program to anyone who has the opportunity to attend!

It has been an excellent experience to be part of the ORA summer school. The activities were well set as well as the meals and courses. Made lots of friends and learnt a lot.

ORA was the first step towards my journey to becoming a life-long learner; not only did I connect with other children from other cultures and nationalities, but I also became inspired and determined to dedicate my life to my passion. I will forever be grateful for this life-chaning experience and opportunity.

ORA made us happy, and in different ways. It gives so many things and in a short time! The quality of studies, experience, activities, visits, the students are always buse and in a good way. New discoveries, quizzes, fantastic!!! After visiting the courses, my children are definitely different! Better! More organised, happy, ready to share their wonderful experience, and it goes without saying that in our point of view, it is the best solution for a child to spend even a week in ORA if he or she is really interested in his or her future studies. And it is a significant thing, children - it is our future, so we are delighted to visit ORA, and read articles sent by ORA helping the students in their studies, spending 1 hour by day, making BMAT tests bought online. Fantastic teaching stuff, and assistance in all, kind and friendly attitude an, by all means, a serious hard work of the stuff so organised ! Many thanks!!!

My experience with ORA was marvellous. I made a lot of friends from different nationalities, learnt a lot in my course and had an amazing two weeks. I will recommend it to every one and if I could I would do it again 100x times!

Over the last two weeks, I pushed myself to what I thought were my limits, only to discover how far it's possible to really go. Oxford Royale taught me many things: educationally and culturally. I am grateful to have learnt things beyond the four walls of a classroom. The people I met, staff, teachers, fellow students. Everyone was wonderful. It's not everyday you have an experience like Oxford Royale.

Oxford Royale Academy provided me with the opportunity to travel to a country I'd never visited, study new subjects many of which are not offered at my school and to meet people from what seemed like every part of the world. All over ORA, provided me with a once in a lifetime experience I will never forget.

I made a lot of close friends at ORA and we all continue to talk to each other throughout the day. I really enjoyed my two weeks there. The teachers were very nice and taught me a lot of new things, the counsellors were very helpful throughout the course. I would love to come back next year.

Oxford Royale Academy gave me the opportunity to meet some of the most intelligent, inspiring, and sincere people I have ever encountered in my life. This goes everyone from the teachers to the counsellors to my classmates. The classes on their own were extremely insightful, and gave me the opportunity to explore new areas of study while challenging my critical thinking abilities every step of the way. Experiencing Oxford in the full richness of its culture and history was also an amazing opportunity. I got lost in more museums than I can count, spent way too much money on food, clothing, and street performers, and I loved every second of it. However, I believe that the people that I met here, the ones that I had the pleasure of sharing all these experiences with, are the thing that made my time at Oxford Royale Academy an experience that I'll deeply treasure. I truly believe that when you get here, you will find people that felt a pull towards Oxford for the exact same reason that you did, and the connections you make here are truly special.

Oxford Royale Academy was very fun and educational. I had met a lot of different friends from many countries around the world. The activities were very fun to do and the lessons were eye opening. I definitely will recommend this for 13 to 15 year olds as you learn how to socialise and you can learn new perspectives.

I chose to spend two weeks of my summer at Oxford primarily to explore my interests in Business and Economics. Equally important, however, was the student life that I experienced whilst staying and studying in the same colleges as the undergraduate students. My course focused on the fundamentals of business which included basic economic principles and marketing strategies. My teacher, Mr. Anthony Spio, taught at the master’s level at Oxford University, and had worked with Unilever for 27 years. Thus, his technical expertise proved to be invaluable assets to classroom theory. The academics were supplemented by a field trip to Cadbury World, where one of the company’s marketing heads gave a lecture on Cadbury’s marketing approach. All of the classroom learning, and fieldwork ultimately led to the Business challenge, where we were divided into teams with the objective of creating a unique product and successfully marketing it. Throughout the experience, I got to explore new fields whilst enhancing my pre-existing research and presentation skills. In addition, I became more confident of the fact that I can spend prolonged periods of time in a completely new city. Although I did achieve the academic attainment prize for ranking first in the course, I will never forget the people that I met and the places that I went. Oxford was a wonderful host and I sincerely hope to see this beautiful city as soon as I can.

It was a very good camp the activities and food were amazing. Although the lesson content was not good enough. It could have been harder and in my case more releated to enginnering. Also our teacher was very biased and keep bullying us He was also not acknowledged enough.

My experience at ORA was (almost) perfect. The academics were great, and I learned tonnes of new things with my amazing teacher Dr. Kanyaru in the computer science course. I was opened up to a whole new aspect of programming, and was finally properly taught computer science. Up until now, I have always loved computers and technology in general, but have always found code and programming tedious and repetitive. This course helped me get past that barrier and really start to be creative with code. All in all I am very pleased with the learning and academics course. However, there were a few things about the course that should have been done differently, in my opinion. Firstly, during my time at ORA, I received a yellow card. This was a deserved punishment for the rule I broke, and I am not going to dispute that. Nevertheless, the email that was sent to parents was an issue for me. The email was sent to three parents as three students were involved, but my name was the one on all of them, so the same generic email didn't even get the slight change of correcting the name for each student. Second of all, the grading system confused me quite a bit. The commentary left by my teacher, said that I had "pursued topics BEYOND those taught in class", meaning that I had done more than expected or taught. This caused me to be confused when my grade for progress and effort was a 7/10, when I had gone beyond the contents of the course in my work. Furthermore, the comment on my report described what we had done in the course, however it described things we did not do like "banking system in Java". Finally, I felt that the admin staff had a very invasive way of keeping an eye on the students. We were told that staff were placed around the town lurking as spies in normal clothing, making sure that the students were doing as instructed and respecting the rules. While I understand the fact that there are rules that must be upheld, and that ORA is responsible for us while we are there, I feel this is a very unsettling way of doing so, it incites a sort of paranoia making one look over ones shoulder every time one leaves the campus. In addition to that, we were told that our internet history was being recorded by the college. This is extremely invasive, and I personally find it very unnerving that other people I do not know nor trust have access to my personal browsing history. I really did feel comfortable using the internet (that worked at its own will) while at the course. In conclusion, I had a great learning experience at ORA, and I received what I expected from the course. I learned a lot of things, and really gained a new found appreciation for programming and its nuances. I got a lot out of this experience and have come home with new knowledge I can apply to my own projects. This does not mean, that all was rosy and without issue. As afore mentioned, there were a few problems I encountered during my time at ORA, that I felt necessary to point out here. I hope my feedback will prove helpful for whomever it may concern.
