“Customer service is shockingly bad!!! I've spent a lot of money with Outdoor Building Group. I had one small problem that should have been easily fixed, over a year later with many phone calls and emails later the problem is still not resolved. N.B. Please keep ALL paperwork and on handover day if something is not quite right, take lots of photos and get them to write down what they are going to do about it. Check all appliances are in full working order before they leave and if not, get them to replace the whole item, NOT say they will get a spare part. 13 months later I'm still waiting for a spare part!”

Hi Susan & readers of this review We built Susan's garden room & as with all jobs we have a handover process which includes walking around the job which was completed on 26/6 with no note of cracked heater. On 4/7 client contacted our office to ask about blinds for her garden room again no note about a crack leg heater. On 6/7 Susan then emailed about a cracked leg on her heater. We contacted the 3rd party heater manufacturer to request a new leg to which they rejected due to the unknown circumstance of who damaged the leg. After 1 year the client called again but we don’t use this supplier anymore as they have stopped selling electric heaters. This was expressed to the customer and the customer was aware that we were in contact with the manufacturer and the advisories that they would not replace. —- To be honest we understand the need but to be given a 1 star review for a large complex build that takes 3/4 weeks with multi trades over a cracked leg is unfair.

“Contacted this company twice regards a new garage. Each time they've said they'll contact me regard a site visit. Still waiting..... In my opinion they are definitely not interested in selling garages.”

“Had lots of correspondence initially about a large garage replacement and even visited their sales centre in Bargeddie. When we tried to arrange a site survey visit all communication from OBG ceased. They seem not to be interested in garages anymore despite this being part of portfolio. In fairness OBG have good prices so we have started negotiations three times and have now been “ghosted” three times. No replies to our emails or phone calls. Disappointed that our project is so far behind because of time wasted with OBG.”

“We were looking for an outdoor building to be used as an office. After researching several companies we used OBG who were very professional from initial consultation through construction and finishing. The company was very easy to deal with and we would recommend them to any of our family and friends. Further to building being completed we used the landscaping department of OBG to complete several projects in our garden which they have with great success.”

“A very professional service from start to finish. A very pleasant team all round, very courteous and with good communication on-site and from the office. The on-site joiners were fantastic, very hardworking and considerate. We are delighted with our garden room which is exactly as we envisaged it and is a great space in summer but also all year round as so well insulated and easy to heat. We are glad we got a skylight which gives great additional natural light. I would highly recommend OBG as an excellent company with high standards and who build to your own specific needs.”

“From initial enquiry, planning, building to aftercare the whole experience has been fantastic. Excellent value for money with the security of the aftercare and warranty. Sad that the journey is over, all staff have been amazing especially Charlene and Amy.”

“OBG have just completed our garden room project. The entire installation was completed within four weeks, from demolishing the garage, laying the groundworks to installing a beautifully designed and fitted garden room. These are not kit builds. Each room is bespoke to your requirements. All of the tradespeople were first class, friendly and fantastic to deal with. Alan and Duncan in particular, the joiners, did a fabulous job effectively building a mini house from scratch. The subcontract team of electricians and plumbers were also excellent. We couldn’t believe how quickly the project was carried out. Charlene and Amy in the office were fantastic at coordinating the project and keeping us advised of progress throughout. We can’t wait to use our new room for a teenage hang-out space. Very happy to recommend.”

“I am over the moon with the quality and speed of the build of my new garden office. And it looks fantastic. The materials used are all of the highest quality. What I love knowing too is that I don't have to treat the wood cladding, because the Adobo is pre-treated. As a company OGB is first class and I do not hesitate to recommend them. It was the boos Stuart that did my survey and made his recommendations as to what would suit me. The various build teams, from the clearance team who prepped the area and removed my ancient shed, the carpentry team, electricians, painters & plasterers, flooring fitters were all first class. This company is a well oiled machine and they are all very impressive. Even when I accidentally damaged my new heater they had someone out next day to fix it. They work hard and take pride in it. Brilliant company. I'll add photos once the decking and interior is finished.”

“Couldn't fault initial sales meeting in Sep 21, but issues ever since. Groundwork started in Dec 21, got keys in Apr 22. It took until end Jun (& many calls/emails/photos) to get some repair work done - these issues were known to OBG, as highlighted at time of final inspection. I say some, as they ran out of replacement boards (20+) to be able to complete in one visit! It's now middle of Aug 22 and no further work has been undertaken. My cynical side says that the repair work was done to prevent us cancelling the landscaping. On that note, don't ask them to lay new turf. We haven't even progressed to reporting teething issues. These buildings aren't cheap. To say I have been disappointed is an understatement. it pains me to say it, but I'm reaching the point where I feel I need to get in touch with the lawyers very soon.”
