Customer service is extremely rude. They think they’re doing you a favour by coming out and getting paid but then don’t answer your calls and make you wait for a new part. Wouldn’t advise to use

The company never responded to my booking, and it turns out they don’t do oven installation if you haven’t bought the oven from the company - despite suggesting they do. The guy on the customer service number had a poor manner and hang up - he’d obviously been dealing with too many complaints.

Not good experience with washing machine repair service and even worse experience with customer service. We had a fault where the RCB fuse blew each time we plugged our machine is. The man turned up in the morning and without looking at the machine asked if we had already got the heating element to fix it. We advised he was here to diagnose the issue so asked him why did he assume it was the heating element (looking online it could be caused by a few different issues). He then pulled out and opened the machine and checked with his multimeter and said yes it's the heating element which would cost around £35 to replace (he didn't take the heating element out to inspect it which we thought was a bit strange). He then advised at 5yrs old it would be more cost effective to buy a new one. (Our machine would cost between £600 to £800 to replace so we were perplexed why it would be more cost effective. Looking online good washing machines should have a life of 10 to 15 years so fixing it should have been more cost effective to pay £35 plus labour). When we explained that to him he suddenly out of the blue added that our circuit board also needed replacing as well but couldn't explain clearly what was wrong with it other than pointing to his meter and saying he didn't get any reading from it (we thought it a bit strange 2 things would go wrong at the same time but perhaps sometimes it happens) and further he couldn't give any rough idea of the cost of the board (an experience service person should have had some idea). Nonetheless we requested that he provide a quote to fix the 2 items and he advised he would provide a report by that evening and customer services would get back to us asap. We paid the callout fee of £84 feeling somewhat uneasy. However no report or quote was provided that evening or next morning. The next day I rang and a very abrupt and rude customer service man called Sam answered and advised they were working on getting a quote but didn't give a time they would provide it by. I brought up some of our concerns about the visit we had but it was obvious he didn't want to listen and he cut me off mid sentence. When I rang back he again didn't want to listen and just spoke over me then cut me off. Third time I tried calling there was no answer from anyone. Looking at many reviews this appears a common experience from a lot of people. I just wish I had read the reviews before booking with this dreadful company. They appear to just want to make it difficult to repair your machine with the aim to try and get you to buy a new one. The customer service manners are shocking. Would not recommend this company at all.

Hi John Fletcher, We sent an engineer yesterday to check your Siemens washer and after checking the product the engineer reported that we need to order a heating element. The part wasn't available and he couldn't give you price yesterday. Today you called and we informed you that we are looking for the part and will call and confirm the price before we order it. For your info this is the link to Siemens website and you can see yourself that the element is NOT available to order. https://www.siemens-home.bsh-group.com/uk/supportdetail/product/WM14W590GB/12#/Tabs=section-spareparts/Togglebox=tb0501/ In your called first you claimed that the engineer didn't open the machine and told you to buy a new one! (which was a lie) after I told you that we have a photo of the machine that shows the engineer open it and also confirmation from the engineer that he checked the machine, you CHANGED your story and claimed that he just check it with multimeters! and we explained to you that's how they check the element! We always tell the customers that parts takes 2-4 working days to find and order and you didn't even allowed 24hours for a part that's not in stock with the manufacturer and we need to look around to find one. We appreciate customer taking times to write us a review either positive or negative but it has to be correct and not fake. regards, North London Appliances
If I could give zero stars I would, we booked online and to be fair missed the email to confirm the booking, we called Friday and rebooked, asked for a text confirmation, never received called a further 3 times, was told verbally booked, called again today, the rudest customer service person who advised the system down and no booking. This company do not know the importance of courtesy or customer service - do not use!!

Terrible experience, I would advise not to use this company. This company charged me for a call-out and said the repair would be included in he fee. At their visit they said they needed to source a replacement part and would come back to fix it. After several months not hearing anything, I asked them for the description of the part so I could source it myself. They ignored my emails and when I did call, hung up and blocked my number. I have since used the Appliance Centre who came and fixed it on a first visit and said the parts and job was nothing unusual. North London Appliance Repairs seems to be a complete farce and I wouldn’t waste my time with them.

The engineer turned up towards the very end of the appointment window and at the wrong address. He called me to find the right door and turned up 10 minutes after that. When he arrived he went onto his phone/tablet for about 5 minutes and then said my drum was broken and the machine can't be repaired. He didn't look at the machine at all or take off any panels. He didn't look at the machines manual or attempt any repairs at all. When I booked the appointment inwas quoted £62 but when he charged me it was £75 because of VAT. That was NEVER stated to me as being separate. Having separate VAT is not how we do things in Britain. This was abysmal service and I'm fuming over wasting £75 on being told to just buy a new machine. Which the engineer conveniently said can be bought from his website. That seems like what the plan was from the start. Charge me just to tell me to buy a new machine from your website.

I was told an engineer wasn't available for my make of washing machine so appointment was cancelled.

Original appointment no show. Turned up hours late on next date. Did not provide a report or a quote for replacement parts as promised. Just charged for call out and no follow up. Would not use again.

Disappointing service. Made the mistake of requesting service on a Friday, for a standard Dishwasher repair, expecting that Monday or Tuesday appointment might work. Called each day, promised a new arrival slot twice, but only to be finally told on Wednesday morning that the following Tuesday, was the best they could do, and maybe i should consider another company. Which I promptly did, with a verified next day service. Three days wasted when an simple up front statement that 'we don't have cover in your area this week' would have sufficed.

Overcharged us for a basic diagnostic service, pushed us to order expensive parts (£150) that would take a week to arrive, told us our machine was over 10 years old and the whole thing needed replacing; recommended we just order an entirely new machine (£500), through them. We went elsewhere and they fixed the problem on the same day for (£40), said that the machine was 2 years old (which matches our paperwork) and that the part that was broken was widely available and inexpensive - they had it to hand. We don’t recommend or trust Appliance centre North London.

They decided they weren't interested in the booking I made. When the engineer didn't show, I gave them a call, hoping to rearrange. They said they'd sent a cancellation email at 9am, which they hadn't. I was trying to ask whether I could rebook, and the guy hung up on me. Then he sent the cancellation. I could have handled the wasting of my time, but the rudeness I think was entirely uncalled for.

Hi Darren Palmer, Many thanks for your multiple reviews, as stated on the email we sent upon booking and on the website, that all bookings are subject to confirmation by our Customer Services Team (usually within 1 business hour by phone, text message and/or email). Bookings made after 6pm Monday to Friday or after 3pm on Saturday or Sunday/Bank Holidays will be confirmed on the next working day. You made the booking on Saturday afternoon and we sent you the email today morning at 9:14 and spoke to you on the phone as well this morning. We didn't confirm your booking and decided to cancel it or not interested in it. Your booking wasn't confirmed and we informed you in advance. regards, North London Appliance Repairs
This service, for a gas oven, was booked with full details - only for us to be told by the engineers who came that you did not do gas ovens. It would have been obvious to your call handler, because of the model number, that our appliance was gas. Then, to add insult to injury you charged £48 for the call out as a result of YOUR OWN MISTAKE. I expect an immediate refund.

Hi Rob, We just checked the phone records and you said that you have a dual fuel cooker which has an issue with the control. You did provide the model number and you said it's dual fuel (top gas/oven electrics) and our team checked for the control and provided you with the quote. If we knew that you have a problem with the gas part, we would have sent a gas safe engineer. The engineer explained that to your partner today. Also, the callout charge is clear both on the website and over the phone so no mistake on our part and no overcharge.
I paid for a repair no communication just a casual verbal report to our tenants saying motherboard was not working. No repair no note to me the client please return my money.

Hi, Mx Cany Ash, How can we refund you when you haven't paid the callout charge yet? we would send you the full report with the part breakdown as soon as you pay the invoice! The invoice has been sent to this email and the payment link to your number. Email: cany@ashsak.com Please arrange the payment and we will provide the report and complete the repair. regards, North London Appliances
Hung up on me! So rude! I called to see if they had availability within 24 hours- they did not. Then he hung up on me when I said I would call around- before I had a chance to say that I would call him back! So rude I will never use their services.

Hi, We just checked the phone record and no one hand up on you?! You were looking for a repair on Sunday which we explained to you we cannot provide as we are closed on Sunday and you told us that you will call around! regards, North London Appliances
Have your wits about you with this company. Their aim is to sell you a new machine rather than repair your existing one. The technician ran “tests” with a voltmeter on parts of the machine which would not have an electrical current. When I challenged the technician on this he would not back down. Maintained that it was the compressor which had failed, when I asked him to check for a blockage this resolved the issue. Had I not challenged him on this, he would not have investigated. He was basically out to make a sale and prey on uninformed customers. After this, I called the office with feedback that this had happened. I was spoken to be a very aggressive person. When I said, “I feel like you’re being very aggressive”, he said, “yes I am, the problem was fixed, you cannot complain” and then terminated the call. I would not use this service unless you feel that you can confidently challenge the technician, in future I’ll use the manufacturers service which I’d only marginally more expensive.

Hi Mary, Our engineer spent 40 minutes at your property and fixed your dryer and we didn't understand why you are complaining?! You called and said that he was pretending that he is repairing it :) and we told you from the job report we can see that he repaired the appliance and tested it before charging you and leaving the property. Usually, people complain when their appliance is not fixed or they are paying for nothing! in your case the complaint doesn't make any sense. " The technician ran “tests” with a voltmeter on parts of the machine which would not have an electrical current." How do you know that? The engineer checked the door lock which is a switch and has an electrical connection to it? regards, North London Appliance Repairs
Came to fix a leak from dishwasher agreed there was a leak but could not fix it. Spent money to tell me what I already knew but no fix offered. Waste of time and money
