“Delivery was good and in a reasonable time; presentation and top icing layer was also well done. However, the inner texture of the cake was overly dense, dry, and unfortunately not worth the high price tag.”

“Got cake for wife’s baby shower, while I can’t say it wasn’t edible that’s as far as I would go. For the price you expect something a little better than a £10 tesco cake. We got the vanilla cake and the icing was sickly sweet along with the fillings. The sponge was dense and tasteless. Neither of us managed to eat more than 1/4 of a small slice. This tastes like a mass produced soulless effort from a baker who is just trying to play on the craze for high end cakes. Hummingbird is light years ahead of my baker. While looking good they taste bad. The owner also tried to contact me several times hoping I would amend the review and he would speak to me on Monday to offer a little gesture of goodwill! Review sites are there for peoples honest opinions and shouldn't be altered. The review was taken down as he contacted Review.co.uk and said my review was factually incorrect but after I amended one statement it has since been reposted so all credit to the site for letting people express their opinion. All we wanted was a edible cake and not gestures or a refund!”

“I urgently needed a cake within 48 hours to be delivered to my friend in London as I live in NYC and “My baker” surely came through! The way they organized the delivery for me was above and beyond! The cake was absolutely beautiful and friend loved it! She also said it smelt so so good.
