“I needed to book the car for an MOT this week - so I had a look on-line and came across Mr Clutch. I'd used them before to replace the Cam Belt and was delighted with their service then, so thought I try them out with the MOT. I put in my post code, confirmed the local Mr Clutch was where I had been before, then found I could book an available day and time slot to suit me - in fact, I could have had the next day, but decided I'd go after the weekend. That was great customer service! Then I found I could pre-pay on-line if I wished - and the price was half what my normal garage was charging! I used this facility as it was easy and secure. Things were getting even better! On the day, I dropped the car off about 15 minutes before the due time, was greeted by a very courteous mechanic who confirmed my booking, took the car keys, and directed me to the nearest coffee shop. I wandered back after 45 minutes and was informed the car had passed the MOT. I was given the certificate and invoice for my records, handed the keys, and bid a safe journey.
All in all, this was the most pleasant MOT experience I had ever known, and all because Mr Clutch had made the on-line arrangements so simple, secure and economic, and dealing with very friendly, courteous people on the day. Absolutely fantastic service that I thoroughly recommend.”
“Have now had family MoT testing done by local Mr Clutch of the past three years or so. Two cars in my house and family members are also regular users. It is possible in my area to get MoT done cheaper, even down to £10-00 but I feel sure that the price must be based on the likelihood of failure and subsequent repair costs. At Mr. Clutch I have had failures but always for genuine faults with competitive quotes for repair. Minor faults not resulting in failure are always listed under "advise". I never feel that they are looking for faults just to get more repair work, and the price is very good, particularly with the loyalty discount sent each year.”

“'Keep it local' this is what people always suggest isn't it? I tried this and ended up being faced with a very rude man who gave me a quote for what turned out to be unnecessary work. I decided to give Mr Clutch in Norwich a call to arrange a quote instead. My query was dealt with promptly by a chap named Carl. Completely different from the bloke at the 'local business' I'd tried. Carl was friendly, polite and very helpful. He suggested that it would be best for my car to be checked over before parts were ordered, this was done the following day and the result was that the local business I had visited originally had quoted for unnecessary work. The quote given by Mr Clutch was £176 less than the original!! Another bonus was that it was able to get the job done on a Saturday.
I can honestly not fault the experience I had and will not hesitate to return in future.”

“I visited Mr Clutch Kingston and the service I recieved from Ian and the team was fantastic. I called late notice on Thursday to see if I could get a bronze service on Saturday, they said no problem they'd squeeze it between jobs. I bought it down Saturday morning and by about 12pm it was ready. I always worry about taking my cars to garages and being ripped off and a load of other stuff suddenly needs doing & the price jumping up, but everything was as it was quoted. Ian was really friendly and knowledgable and advised what would probably need to be done in the near future but it wasn't in a pushy salesperson kind of way, you can tell he's just someone who knows his job well and I would not hesitate to go back!”
“We took our car to Mr Clutch for an MOT & they were quick & courteous. It needed a retest which was also quick and painless. My only suggestions might be that if the car fails an MOT on minor issues (say up to the value of £50) the work could be done & the retest there and then, save booking in for retests.”
“I've been getting both my cars mot'd at the Croydon branch for the past 4 years. No fuss, even when they fail, I trust what they say as they clearly show me the faults. Either they'll fix the faults or I will and they'll quickly do the re-test without any hassles.

“I've been using Mr clutch now for three years because I can just book online at my convenience rather than ring around other garages that don't have this service, I also like the fact that they use up to date equipment like the lifting ramp that also rocks the vehicle left to right in order for the tester to see if there is any play in the joints more accurately rather than the old method where two persons was needed, and of coarse the price is great value because garages can charge a maximum of £54.00 at present.”
