Stay clear of this garage. Northampton Mr clutch. Went in with a whizzing sound said it was gear Box £1900 returned the car as still not right. Said it needed bleeding nothing eles wrong with car. Left garage with in one hour greenflag was returning the car. 3 New problems occurred another £1060. Having to go down the consumer rights acts 2015. Payed under protest to get car back. Section 75 claims gone in. Please anyone with issues with this garage follow the consumer rights acts . Contact their motor association which is at the bottom of their website and do a section 75 claim with bank . DO NOT LET THEM RIP YOU OFF . You have rights against motor industries.

Went to get an interim service at Croydon, told me I needed new brake pads and shoes. Unbeknown to them, they were new and have plenty of life left! Proper, con merchants, hardly did anything to the car. Did not even top up the screen wash which was completely empty. Only realised on my way to an MOT a few days after, luckily I topped this up as something as slight as this could fail. They ticked a lot of things on as completed, another mechanic checked it over a few days later and found that they hadn't. Also didn't update the service light on dashboard. Poor, poor service, I do not recommend and would not return if they were offering free services.

I am very disappointed .My MOT test failed due to dust cover needed to be replaced I have received quotation for fixing the problem for only 250 while parts costs 15 pounds!!!Went to another garage and they have passed it right away and only advised to fix it but the problem was just basic when I told them about failing somewhere else they had laugh as this was nothing serious .I have made a complain and requested a refund but was told that they are treating very seriously people who threaten them about refund !!!!!! Very unprofessional and rude !!!!Avoid !!!

Their customer service is excellent, prices quoted are fair, work done is exceptional. My old car is grateful for all his updates and repairs, another 10 years added to his life. Thank you Mr Clutch. 😊

While away in my motorhome and visiting Canterbury, one of my brake lights had failed. On the recommendation of a member of staff on my site, I went to Mr Clutch. At Mr Clutch I found such friendly and helpful staff. Even though it was late on a Friday evening and the end of a busy working week, a new bulb was fitted very quickly at no charge - purely as a gesture of goodwill, which really impressed me. I was told that most of the staff on my campsite always use Mr Clutch for there vehicle requirements. And, if I lived in Canterbury, would be very happy to do business with this garage and its staff. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Went in with reversing switch issue and told software problem Went to another garage who found wiring not connected connected phoned branch and said I'd write negative review with was greater with indifference

Have a van and took it to Mr Clutch Croydon for MOT. Ended up with a bill of £1655; bill was provided as a hard copy. When the van was collected two red lights were on that were never there before! Returned the van to Mr Clutch; they said (I think the guy’s name is David) that they could not find what the issue was (they cannot carry out certain electrical tests at the premises) so we had to take the van elesewhere and Mr Clutch promised to pay for it. Eventually ended up with a bill over £1300 to sort the electrics, wheel balancing etc. I have written a complaint to Mr Clutch head office, attaching all the invoices and receipts asking for a partial compensation. Their response is that I have falsified the invoice from Mr Clutch Croydon branch and they haven’t done the work I claim they did, hence they are not responsible! What a scam!

I Brought my Jaguar XJ6 to Mr Clutch in Hayes , for a Simple fan belt check , After 2 days of lies by Mr clutch about blaming the Starter motor when in fact i knew there where no other problems other than the Loose worn fan belt only as i know about cars , Mr clutch tried to say i needed to spend an Extra £350 on the Starter to get the car working . The car was Driven into the Mr clutch Garage by the Mr Clutch Staff and had No issues Stating before . After a Peaceable argument with the Manager , ( Non aggressive complaint ) the East European Staff member Got angry and dumped the car outside to be collected even thou it was Not Stating . Howsoever by the time i wen t back to the , Hayes Mr clutch Branch 2 days later the Car had Gone and been Stolen from outside there Workshop . Mr Clutch caught the Robbery on there CCTV Camara , Police where called but Nothing was ever done about it . Mr Clutch Claimed no responsibility whatsoever for the loss of the Car . i am Currently taking Court action against them .

I cannot praise Mr Clutch Bletchley Milton Keynes enough! They have been an amazing help since my first encounter last December. The interest, personal care and desire to help was possibly better than any garage I have encountered in years (no exaggeration). Subpar work that has left my car in a dangerous and unroadworthy condition. Done under 500 miles so not eligible for first check, took to another garage for investigation and they have stated that the driveshaft into the NSF wheel bearing has been over tightened causing it to shear off. Portsmouth Mr Clutch not interested said it could have happened anytime told to speak to customer service, been waiting in hold for 45 minutes to do so.

Do you want good customer service? Do you want your car to be fixed in a reasonable time? Do you want your car coming back to you with no lights on the Dashboard flashing at you? If the answer is yes then DO NOT TAKE IT TO MR CLUTCH STROOD. They took our car and had it for 8 weeks. In that time we received no courtesy calls or apologies for the delay. What we have received is one of the mechanics being very condescending and rude to my 19 year old daughter and certain lights on her dashboard constantly flashing at her. The only reason she will be returning to Mr Clutch is for warranty checks and for them to sort out issues that they have caused. Still waiting for Head office to return my call from last week!

Sorry about my reviw last time i was a little upset but they done very good jobs for me in the past and now i had a peougeot 206 and they change with succes my timming belt and water pomp and now i had a mercedes there i know is take long somethimes to fix it but weel done team .Hope to see you again .

I've always used Mr Clutch in High Wycombe and the guys there are incredibly dedicated professionals who treat every customer with respect and take great care to do a fantastic job. Special mention must go to certain individuals though, Pete Shoulder, the franchise holder(top man and a real gent), Dave Cato head engineer( always goes above and beyond to ensure we're happy with everything, nothing is too much trouble, plus Nathan, MOT guru who had kept us safe over the years with detailed checks and honest assessments. Raph, super friendly, knowledgeable and diligent, (a real charmer as well( my wife loves it so that's all good with me.) To be honest, although I can't remember every name, any one and all of the mechanics are great and they pull together like a real team should. Impressive outfit, my wife and Iwouldn't go anywhere else, why would we when we receive a friendly reception, highly professional work and guaranteed reliability every time.

Took my car to Kingston branch. They tried to con me into huying a new slave cylinder which was not leaking. When I said no they handed me the car drained all the clutch and brake fluid! Slave cylinder was checked by mechanic and confirmed to be perfectly fine. Fluid had no leaks before it went there or after it came back. Brake failure warning light came on as returning from Mr Clutch due to their meddling. Customer services just kept saying the branch manager was sick or on holiday for 6 weeks and finally refused to respond. If you like driving a car with dangerous brakes..go to Mr Clutch. !

I drove my car to Mr clutch Kingston for a new clutch at the quoted cost of £320. The next day I receive a call stating my car needs a new gear box, thermostat etc with a cost of £1492. My car has always been serviced, low mileage etc so how did my car go from needing a new clutch to all of these things. I asked for my car back and was told it's completely undriveable. I used a recovery truck to pick up my car and yes in 24 hours my car is a completely undriveable wreck. How did this happen? What did they do? I drove my car there, the gearbox was fine. I feel conned and exploited and can't help but wonder if I'd be male would this have happened. So I've paid Mr Clutch for the pleasure of putting my car back so I can take it home as an undrivable car and a recovery vehicle and I'm left with no car. I wish I'd never gone near them. AVOID

update on review below So I received an email today after being in touch with customer service that he had spoke to a director and the director said if I didn't delete my review they wouldn't be paying to rectify the works needed to fix my car. My car needs fixing because I spent 2 thousand pound with Mr clutch and the car come out with more problems than what it went in for. Bullying tactics being used. My advice Do not use Mr clutch

Took my car to MR CLUTCH in Basingstoke and had a new clutch and gear box installed for £1900 Once i collected my car i had an awful grinding sound coming from the engine, i returned and my car had to sit in the garage for another half a day for the problem to get rectified. When i collected my car after having a drive i noticed problems listed below: No reverse lights No parking cameras No Cruise control No speed limiter No hill start/auto hold Handbrake faulty System failed appearing on DASH. I have now had to take my car to Nissan and am awaiting a full report. When i was in the garage complaining about these issues the technicians told me that there diagnostics machines were rubbish and that the tools supplied were rubbish so most of them brought in there own. I now have to pay nissan to sort out my car whilst MR CLUTCH carry's out an investigation but have already been told that i was lying about what the technicians have said, I have witnesses to prove that isnt the case, Awful experience i hope they resolve the matter ASAP and send over there investigation to me.
