Absolutely brilliant service! It took just 3 days to sell my car at a great price way above webuyanycar! The buyer paid immediately and collected my car from home. Can’t recommend these guys enough.

I've just finished the rubbish process of bothering to try to use this service, they originally quoted £1075 on my 15 year old c3 picasso, the car is in really really good condition with very little minor damage here and there, just phoned them up to be told that they value it at £680. Did they honestly expect when they give their original estimate on a 15 year old car that it has been stored factory fresh and still in its original box !

Hi there, Thanks for your review. We're sorry that you were unhappy with your experience. Whilst we apologise if this was not made clearer, the initial valuation you are provided is based on industry guide prices, live market data, and our previous sales history. Only when we later discuss and factor in the history, condition, and specifications of your car with you will we be able to provide a more accurate valuation. We apologise if you were unhappy with the amount presented. However, the use of the Motorway platform is entirely free and voluntary, and there is never any obligation for you to accept a valuation provided. In any case, we sincerely regret that your experience hasn't met our high standards of customer satisfaction and would like to wish you all the best going forward. Kind regards, Tyler Motorway Escalations Team
Awful service and embarrassing offers. Firstly, the advisor on the phone was extremely patronising, trying to insinuate that I didn’t understand the process of selling a car and proceeded to tell me my car had depreciated by £600 in 3 days. Additionally, my partner then rang them back 10 minutes after this conversation and was offered an extra £150, honestly felt like I was being offered less for my supposed naivety as woman. The offer that then came through from the final sale, was thousands less than originally stated, and I of course would not be accepting. Overall, a complete waste of time don’t bother and sell privately!

Hi Lauren, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're genuinely sorry to hear about your experience and understand your frustration regarding the service and offers you received. It's important to us that our customers feel respected and valued throughout the process, so we apologise if you felt otherwise. We strive for transparency, and it’s disappointing to learn about the discrepancies in the offers you encountered. Unfortunately, we cannot identify your profile based on the content in your review alone. Please reach out to reviews@motorway.co.uk so we can look into this further. We wish you all the best. Warm regards, Christopher Motorway Escalations Team
What a load of rubbish online price then when I rang the price changed

Hi Mark, Thanks for your review. We're sorry to hear you were unhappy with the price you received. We are unable to locate your profile with the limited information in this review, so if you would like us to look into this further, please email reviews@motorway.co.uk with your vehicle registration and the email address used to submit your valuation. Having said that, generally speaking, our valuations are based on industry guide prices, live market data, and our previous sales history. This valuation is updated every seven days to ensure it remains in line with market trends and the purchasing behaviour of buyers. Once you have received your initial valuation, we will discuss the history, condition, and specification of your car with you. We will always discuss any factors that may affect the valuation, to ensure that we provide a realistic estimate which is tailored to your vehicle. In most cases, offers come out on or around the estimated price we give, but this is not a cap on what you can achieve. Where interest is high, vehicles regularly exceed the estimated selling price. It is regrettable that your experience was not more in line with our expected high standards of customer satisfaction, but we would like to thank you for your feedback and wish you all the best going forward. Kind regards, Shannon Motorway Escalations Team
Excepted the highest bid and the dealer came to check/collect the car, he clearly had no intention of paying the bid price claiming various mechanical and software issues which I had no knowledge of if they even existed. Offered £1000 below bid price.

We tried twice to sell the car. Each time the highest bidder came with the sole intention to significantly knock down the price. The dealers clearly bid big to win with no intention of paying the bid price. They only bid to get in front of you.

Hi there, Thanks for your review, we're sorry you were not happy with your experience. Unfortunately, if the buyer identifies any issues which were not listed on your selling profile, they may look to cancel the sale or adjust their offer at the point of collection to take this into account, as your offer is based on the accuracy of the information provided and advertised on your profile. You’re never obligated to accept a lower price of course, as it is a voluntary transaction for all parties throughout, but the vehicle must be as described in order to achieve the agreed price. As we do not have your information, we are unable to advise further, but if you would like us to take a look into this for you, please reach out to us at reviews@motorway.co.uk and we will be more than happy to investigate. Kind regards, Jamie Motorway Escalations Team
I had a terrible experience with Motorway.co.uk and their handling of my car sale. A week ago, I listed my car on their platform, fully disclosing a dent by uploading clear photos so they could provide a fair valuation. They initially quoted £2,200, but after sending an appraiser to inspect the car, he reduced the offer to £1,100. I declined, and he left but shockingly, he did not return my car key. When I called him, he initially claimed he did not have the keys, then he told me he has it and sent me photos of the key. He claimed he would post it. Four days ago, he messaged saying it was sent, yet I still haven't received it. Meanwhile, I contacted Motorway's support several times, only to be kept on hold for over 30 minutes each time without any real help. This situation is completely unacceptable. Losing my car key because their appraiser failed to return it is beyond frustrating. Motorway needs to take responsibility and ensure their process is professional and reliable. I would strongly caution anyone considering selling their car through Motorway if something goes wrong, don't expect real support.

Hi there, Thanks for your review. We’re sorry you were unhappy with your experience. We are aware that the driver had accidentally taken the spare key with them after the sale was cancelled, and we were in touch with you and the buyer to obtain regular updates regarding this. We are pleased that the spare key has now been received. Having reviewed your profile, we can see your vehicle was listed twice. The first time the vehicle was cancelled for undisclosed damages being identified at the point of inspection. Whilst we do of course appreciate that you submitted all of the required photos that were requested by our sales team, there can often be other issues, either known to you as the seller or otherwise, that may not be easily distinguishable in the photos alone. This is why it's common practice for all buyers to request and carry out a thorough inspection and in some instances a test drive at the point of collection. If the buyer identifies any additional damages then they are within their right to offer a price reduction or to cancel the sale. In the same way, you are within your right to reject any reduced offer that you are unhappy with. Selling through Motorway is an entirely voluntary process so you are not obligated to proceed with the sale at any point if you are unhappy. The buyer did not collect the vehicle themselves and instead had their collection driver collect the vehicle, so they were not aware at the time that the key had mistakenly not been returned. When you informed our team of this, they immediately reached out to the buyer directly to discuss this. Our team were in contact with you via email and also when you called. The buyer had advised that while the key had been posted, there was no tracking information, so unfortunately, once the key had been sent, there were limited updates. We have no record of you being kept on hold for 30 minutes at any point during your calls. Our Escalations Team did reach out to you directly to request an update on whether the key had been received, but we received no response. This situation is of course not a common occurrence when selling through Motorway, however, we apologise if you feel this was not handled correctly. We're sorry that you feel your experience was not more in line with our expected customer journey and high standards of customer satisfaction, but we would like to thank you for your feedback and wish you all the best going forward. Kind regards, Shannon Motorway Escalations Team
I submitted my vehicle yesterday 30/12/24 to be told it would go on sale as of 7pm until 3:30pm 31/12/24. I explained it was close to New Year Bank Holiday but was assured it would go live that evening. No communication today after the 3:30pm cut off so I called Motorway. The lady who I found hard to understand told me my vehicle would be going ‘live’ sometime after 2/1/25 and I would receive an e mail. Very disappointing as I have used Motorway in the past and found it a very good experience.

Hi Gary, Thanks for your review. We're sorry to hear you were unhappy with your experience. Due to it being just after the Christmas period, we did have limited sales as some dealerships would have been closed. However, this should have been communicated clearly to you. We have fed this back to the agent’s Team Leader for further investigation, and additional training will be provided to ensure our high standards of service are upheld at all times moving forward. During limited sales, we cannot guarantee prior an exact date the vehicle will go for sale, however, you do receive communication via email and text message to advise when your vehicle is going into the sale. Nevertheless, despite the delay, we're pleased to see that your vehicle has since been sold and we thank you for using Motorway. Kind regards, Shannon Motorway Escalations Team
Absolute farce. £300 less than reserve price and then a guy who had no intention of buying the car eventually turns up (2 days and 3 hours late). claims issues that don't exist so then motorway want me to pay for an extra health check to fix issues that I know are not there. Some people may have had a good experience. my experience is its 10 days of my life and countless phone calls that I am never getting back.

Hi Nick, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We’re sorry you were disappointed in the performance of your car during the daily sale. Although in most Motorway auctions, offers come out on or above the estimate - in some cases, a vehicle may underperform due to limited interest. Unfortunately on this occasion, your vehicle generated limited interest from our network of buyers during the auction and only received two bids, which were below your agreed reserve price. Following on from the above, we expect buyers to be in contact within two working days from the point that your documentation has been verified, with collection no more than 7 to 10 working days later - we’re pleased to see that these timeframes were adhered to. Unfortunately, if the buyer identifies any issues that were not listed on your selling profile, they may look to cancel the sale or adjust their offer at the point of collection to take this into account, as your offer is based on the accuracy of the information provided and advertised on your profile. In this instance, the buyer identified that there was an issue with the head gasket and also provided photos taken at the point of inspection which evidence their concern and areas of rust which we were not made aware of prior to listing your vehicle. You’re never obligated to accept a lower price of course, as it is a voluntary transaction for all parties throughout, but the vehicle must be as described in order to achieve the agreed price. Again, we’re sorry that you were unhappy with your experience, and we wish you all the best going forward. Hannah Motorway Escalations Team
Complete waste of my time. Wanted to sell a decent vehicle in the price range of £20,000. I was completely mislead and was told payment would be at the time of the sale, but it tanspires the agreement was that the new buyer would take ownership and take away the vehicle and pay within 48 hours. How dodgy is this.

Hi Naomi, Thanks for your review and we are sorry you were unhappy with the service provided. Having checked your profile we can see that your buyer was on instant payment terms. Payment would have been made at collection. We are sorry if this was not made clear. Whilst it is regrettable that your experience was not more in line with our usual high standards of customer satisfaction, but we wish you the best going forward. Warm regards Gem Motorway Escalations Team
They are getting worse nowadays used to be good .. lot of them selling on these site to clear their more damaged car describing it as 1 or 2 panel damage ..when you go there it's lot more damages and motorway don't even care about it ..

I gave 1 star because i can`t pick zero stars. If a buyer bids to your car, and you accept it and the buyer never turns up - don`t be surprised! Try as hard as you can to reach them - you won`t make it. (all recorded thankfully) There is nothing to do and it is how it is - motorway way.

Hi Dogukan, Thanks for your review. We’re sorry you were unhappy with your experience with the buyer. We expect buyers to be in contact within two working days from the point that your documentation has been verified, with collection no more than 7 to 10 working days later. We have fed this back to the buyer to reiterate our expectations surrounding contact. We spoke to you on the 16/10 to offer you alternative options which you rejected, we also had an agent in our specialist team reach out to you to assist, however you did not respond. We're sorry your experience with Motorway was not more in line with our usual high standards of customer satisfaction, but we thank you for your feedback and we wish you all the best going forward. Kind regards, Gem Motorway Escalations Team
Terrible company, 4 grand car went for 2.5 at auction we accepted this, took 3 weeks for the dealers to come round, two tyre kickers come round, smoke a cig in the car, take it for a test drive, plug in a computer looking for any faults, cant find anything and still try to knock me down 300 quid. I say no and they leaves waste of time.

Hi there, In order to address any issues brought to our attention via negative reviews we always check the email address to locate a sale record. In this instance, we cannot locate a record of sale and are therefore are unable to validate your review as based on a genuine experience, and will be unable to look into this for you in any detail. If you do have any additional feedback and would still like us to investigate this issue for you, then please send an email to reviews@motorway.co.uk otherwise, we wish you all the best going forward. Warm regards, Gem Motorway Escalations Team
Complete and utter waste of time. At no point during the process do they ask you if you owned the car less than 2 months if you bought from a dealer or privately. No apology for wasting an hour of my time getting my car washed, posting photos and following up on the phone. Just a very incompetent process.

Hi Michael, Thanks for your review and we are sorry you were unhappy with the service provided. When you initially profile your vehicle online you are asked if you have owned your vehicle for less than 6 months. If you tick yes, you are then asked if you are able to provide proof of purchase. If you tick no to either of these questions, our app or website will advise you that you cannot continue with the sale. These questions are asked prior to the photo upload section, and before you call in to speak to an agent. When you have owned your vehicle for less than six months, we require a proof of purchase invoice from a dealership to market the vehicle. This is because, within the motor trade, six months is generally considered an unusually short period of time in which to resell a newly acquired vehicle. Unfortunately, vehicles purchased privately or at auction that are resold within six months of purchase carry statistically higher risks of being problematic, and our dealers will not purchase them. We are able to sell vehicles acquired via dealerships due to the higher legal standards and fallbacks governing dealership sales and the quality of vehicles sold. If a vehicle has been in your name for under six months, our online form automatically requires you to explicitly confirm you are able to provide a proof of purchase invoice before allowing you to build a profile or speak to our Sales Team, to avoid wasting your time. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. You are, of course, welcome to return to us once the vehicle has been in your possession for more than six months, and we wish you all the best going forward. Warm regards, Gem Motorway Escalations Team

I am open to share my experience with bitcoin investment and losing money to scammers. However, yes it is possible to recover your stolen bitcoins. I never believed in bitcoin recovery because i was made to understand that it was not possible. However, sometime in october i fell for a forex scam which promised overly high returns and i ended up losing close to $70,000. I searched for a month for help until i finally came across an article on reddit in regards to recovering stolen cryptocurrency so i reached out to him at [contactzattechrecovery [at] gmail com.] I was so scared and skeptical because i have heard of bad experiences but i decided to give them a try and to my greatest surprise i was able to get all my stolen bitcoins recovered from the scammers within a very short time frame. I don’t know if i’m allowed to share the links on here but you can contact if you also need help.
