“It is not what I expected,this is a not as light as I like it tastes good but is to solid for me I would not buy it agen . Also because of the nut on it very dry I would want some cream of some kind in the middle to give it more moisture.”

“For the very first time I have to leave a poor review. Not about the service etc but about the cake, which is very disappointing, dry, with very little taste. There is plenty of great competition out there too so something needs an overhaul. ( I've been buying MR cakes since Meg's own day.)”

“Morning I haven’t tried the fruit cake yet but the orange and almond cake was too moist for to the point of seeming slightly undercooked maybe personal preference but it cracked upon taking it out of the packaging but looking forward to the fruit cake thank you Mairi”

“I have tasted a few simnel cakes over the years and i was looking forward to tastin yours. i am a bit disappointed because you said it had cherries in it and i am half way through the cake and havent found a single cherry. It is moist and full of marzipan but i have tasted nicer”

“Cake bought for a 60th birthday and ordered weeks before to arrive on birthday. Didn't arrive till day after at 5:20pm! This was apparently acceptable to Meg Rivers. Even though cake is always lovely it is expensive and so is cost of delivery therefore I do not think this was acceptable 😦”

Dear Kirsten, I am glad you enjoyed the cake. I can see from your order that you paid for standard delivery via Royal Mail which as we explain on the website can take 1 to 2 days, unless you choose DPD Named delivery at an extra cost delivery dates may not be met.
