Hi There Bick and thank you for getting in touch. I can see from your order history that you placed it after midday on Friday 22nd (our despatch cutt off is midday) and you also didn't pay for a Saturday service, named weekday only. Had you called we could have upgraded to a Saturday service if the courier hadn't already collected that day. I hope the cake was enjoyed when it arrived, best wishes, Jess

Disappointed with the mince pies which were the main reason for my order. In my opinion insufficient mince in them and not very tasty as a result. Christmas tart was rather sickly sweet for my taste. Christmas cake a shortbread biscuits both nice though.

Solid website, good ingredients and swift flexible delivery however the product received has rather coloured my view of the company as a whole, certainly nothing overly special.

I have been ordering Meg Rivers cakes for several years. There was never a problem with the delivery. But this year the cake was delivered to the wrong address. Fortunately 3 days later a neighbour called to deliver the cake. I understand the drivers are under enormous pressure at this time of the year. We thought the parcel had been stolen. But in the end all was well. And my friends are already enjoying the cake. Best wishes Mrs U.Cross

I wanted to give 5 stars.I have eaten your ginger cake before and it's lovely.However,I asked for the cake to be delivered on the 11th as the address was a business one.The cake arrived on the Saturday-9th-and wasn't found and given to my friend until the evening of the 11th.This means that it wasn't as fresh as I'd expected it to be.Thank You

Hi Jessica - you only paid for Royal Mail standard service rather than a Saturday DPD service which explains why your order was delivered later than you had hoped. For Saturday services the DPD Saturday service must be selected and paid for. Kindest, Jess

The gin & lime cake had a lovely flavour but the one I got was pretty difficult to slice without it collapsing into crumbs. Pity it was a nice idea Came beautifully packaged as always

Although this was a bakery blunder cake I did not feel the texture of the cake was up to Meg Rivers usual high standard being rather dense and heavy. This is the first time I have bought a bakery blunder cake and it has rather put me off buying another.

The cakes were delicious but initial delivery came with one cake damaged by careless couriers, Meg Rivers put this right by delivering a replacement but this was a worry we could have done without. There were no clear instructions for assembly of the cakes or for how to attach the self-assembly sugar roses.

Excellent products that the recipient appreciated but I was disappointed that I didn't get a response to my email. As soon as I placed the order I realised I'd out the wrong delivery address, there was no way to change this once I'd placed the order so I emailed to explain the issue amd ask if the address could be changed. I understand that this may not have been possible but I did not receive any response at all which was disappointing.

My only comment was the delivery. Having requested the date when I knew someone to be at home, the delivery was attempted twice a few days before. The cake was very well received and presented.

I do hope you enjoyed your goodies. With all natural ingredients, hand made from start to finish our costs reflect the quality of ingredients and skill used to make eat product. Short shelf life is also as a result of natural ingredients over artificial preserving methods. Kindest, Jess

fantastic simnel cake, but a bit miffed that when I ordered it on the day before Good Friday, I didn't get it until a week later, because the company thinks that Good Friday is a bank holiday. So, I did not have the cake at the event for which I ordered the cake

Dear Vivienne, Good Friday is a bank holiday for banks and many other businesses across the UK. Our courier doesn't deliver on Good Friday or the Easter Monday Bank Holiday and the bakery is also closed those days. Kindest wishes, Jess

Cake was a gift which was well received but I can’t comment on the cake itself. I did, however resent receiving promotional emails 2 /3 times a week ever since I made this purchase. Have now unsubscribed. Would have happily received comms on a less frequent basis.
