“The cake was so dry and lacking in flavour that we threw it away after having one piece of it. Will not be buying it again.”

“My husband loved his birthday cake, thank you so much. He is a connoisseur of fruit cake and in his words, it was moist and very fresh with a good amount of marzipan and icing . Well worth the money 😁”

“Morning I haven’t tried the fruit cake yet but the orange and almond cake was too moist for to the point of seeming slightly undercooked maybe personal preference but it cracked upon taking it out of the packaging but looking forward to the fruit cake thank you Mairi”

“We have yet to taste the cake as our wedding Ian tv until next weekend, but so far all of my dealings with the bakery have been great. The order process was easy, response to any emails I sent was prompt and helpful. The delivery was exactly when I requested, despite me ordering 3 months in advance then worrying that they would forget my order. So, as long as the cake tastes as good as it looks, I am very happy with my wedding cake from Meg Rivers Cakes. Thank you for making my wedding special. It is so hard to get a proper fruit wedding cake instead of a flavoured sponge cake!”

“Perfect gift for difficult-to-buy-for men! I always send your cakes to my brother and my brother-in-law for their birthdays. They are always thrilled to bits :)”

“The brownies were bought as a surprise gift so I haven't tasted them, but was told that they were very good. They arrived on the specified day so am very happy with the service. Will use again.”

“Love my monthly cakes. But the cherry and almond cake is very dry. All the others I’ve received have been fantastic”

“The cake was a Cherry cake . It was lovely and moist , flavourful with super distribution of cherries. It is very moreish and didn't last long! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was I didn't receive notification of its delivery but I didn't check junk emails”

“I joined the Cake Club moroe than a year ago, and very much enjoyed every cake as it came, and especially the Simnel Cake and the Chocolate Fudge Cake. But as I live alone, I could not always eat my way through an entire cake, unless my family members were visiting, as they do; but they live a long way south. So I have changed to the Treats Club, having sampled some of the products and found them delicious - and more easily shared with local visitors.”
