I am disappointed with the melodion. Sound is great but bellows so stiff almost impossible to play. I have played it many hours and bellows has not loosened up. I love the instrument but at a loss as what to do to loosen the bellows? Donald bradbury

I'm enjoying using one of the whistles I purchased. However, I did send a query shortly after recvieving my whistles that one of them becomes squeaky after only a few minutes of playing, possibly due to moisture build-up and unfinished wooden piece in the mouthpiece. I didn't get a reply, which is disappointing

I placed my second order in June. Due to fat fingering one of the numbers in my address, the U.S. postal service returned it for whereabouts unknown. I moved before a replacement could be sent. I was assured it would be replaced. I trust it will and would be happy to review the whistle at that time.

Wooden spoons arrived broken. Probably packaging insufficient plus handling accident. Replacement received with better packaging in a few days.

A concertina beginner, I purchased a Wren. This had a sticky button within a week or so. Your staff were very helpful with an online fix but within a week or so the same happed so I sent it back for a fix. Your concertina man was at a music festival. Everyone was so helpful but I was thwarted by unexpected problems of customs and postal delays which were not anticipated. So eventually I opted for a refund which was actioned immediately both for postage costs of £40 and purchased price. So could only give three stars. With thanks John Ps open a store in England!!

I live in the USA. I ordered a 16 inch Bodhran, but was sent a 14 inch. Return postage cost was huge, so I opted to order a 16 inch Bodhran again, and now have two beautiful and great sounding tunable Bodhrans. I really do like the 16 inch better, due to the deep tones, although the 14 inch is prettier by far. The quality of both Bodhrans is superb. I wish the 16 inch had hand thumbscrew tuners instead of Allen screws. I also wish the initial order had been filled correctly, but I guess that is a risk when ordering on line. I think you made an honest mistake. I will probably order some whistles from you in the future. I feel fortunate to be able to order high quality Irish instruments, from you. They simply are not available here in Utah!

The banjo I bought ( The Viking ) is ok, a bit chunky, but ok, nice low action, and tone. The quality of the build is good. It was supposed to come with a free case. It came with a cheap bag not a case. To me a case is a hard case, a bag is a bag. The bag ripped after the the first day. I will get over it even though I feel I was mislead. However I am disappointed that McNeela did not bother to reply to my email, (with picture ) complaining about the bag. I rest my bag. I just wish I could say, I rest my case.

I think this instrument was made in China. Nowhere does it say made in Ireland. The cheap cardboard packaging reeked of the same smell as the way they ship items that we all receive from China. I paid far too much. I could have bought the same thing much cheaper from others, but they were all out of stock. I must say that the case it came in was very nice. Thanks.

The Susato S whistle (D) plays easily and in tune. However, above the high G it, requires too much breath support. It is hard to play up there for more than one measure without dropping down an octave.

Whistle - a Wild D - too heavy and fat and has a sound associated with recorders.

I don't think the scale is true. Kind of wish I'd saved my money

I am a self-taught tin whistle player and was looking for a way to learn better technique and additional information. This course sounded like it was an appropriate way of doing just that. With that in mind, I purchased a 3 month trial but did not immediately redeem the 3 month certificate due to health problems. Finally, I started the course only to learn that my 3 month certificate had 'expired' even though no specific expiration date was listed. I contacted McNeela and they gave me a ONE month certificate and said that they would help me once that had expired with the next month and so on. That worked fine except that I was forced to insert a credit card to use it. I started the course and found it to be useful with some problems. After one month, the certificate expired, I was notified it was expiring and I again contacted McNeela who said, no problem just use the one month certificate again. Unfortunately, medical problems again ensued and, before I could get back to it, another two months had passed and I got a notice that my credit card had been charged for an additional month. Naturally -- since I'm still having difficulties getting to the course, I cancelled. As far as the course itself is concerned and as far as I got (admittedly not very far), it was good save that it seemed a bit disorganized and the sample songs were a good distance from the explanation of the song. Frankly, I was a bit disappointed with it but would have continued save that my 3 months were expired and I am still having some medical problems that prevent me from accessing it frequently -- which I feel would be necessary to take any advantage of the course. I am NOT really a musician, though, and I believe the course is more aimed at someone who is. I was originally going to rate it two stars but that is not fair as my problems were more with the administration than the course itself.

I purchased the 14” deep black bodhran with bag included. The bodhran itself plays well and seems well constructed, however the paint work was cracked in a couple of places and hopefully it’s not the frame and also chipped on the edge and the mesh bag was torn and had holes.I have since purchased a new bag from you and it is in good condition. Hopefully the bodhran frame isn’t cracked under the paint and it’s only the paint, time will tell. All in all I’m happy and understand paintwork doesn’t always hold up.In hindsight I should have purchased the redwood. Thanks!

Hello - I bought a new Swan a few months back. One key does not work. Also, the edges of the medal plate are too sharp. I rounded them off with a file but you might want to think about doing it as part of your manufacturing process. Otherwise all good - thx

I ordered a blackwood flute which had some tiny cracks after a bit of playing. To get a replacement was no proplem at all. With the replacement flute unfortunately I still wasn't satisfied cause it was not straight and the tuning slide almost useless cause the basic tune was very very flat. Refuning of the flute was no problem at all again but I was hoping for getting a proper flute which might have been checked personally before shipping.
