The workmanship of the instrument is not appropriate for the price. Metal plates are glued together, which makes repairing them very difficult if they malfunction. I am very disappointed. Might as well have bought cheap Chinese junk on Amazon. Will stay away from MC Neela and possibly give up the instrument.

I ordered 2 Wild Irish Whistles and when they arrived, found it the intonation was bad on both. It took several messages back and forth, lots of prodding for information to finally find out there was an issue with the entire batch of whistles. So, apparently there is no quality check on intonation. I did get a full refund and didn’t have to send the whistles back, which was a plus. I needed them for recording so they needed to be absolutely in tune. I hope others who bought from that batch were contacted and provided with replacements that were in tune.

Whilst I like the mandolin that I purchased, it was not the specification described in the advertisement. I emailed you 3 times to enquire about this and have not received a reply. I would not call this good customer service. I also notice that in your 'How quick did the company reply' boxes, you do not have a 'not at all' box.

I was never told the “c” and “Bb” whistles did not have lessons. I have no musical ability and now I have 2 whistles I cannot play.

I purchased a bodhran and the tuning mechanisms started to rub against the rim. I reported the issue within 60 days and again last summer 2023. Unfortunately I did not report the issue within 30 days. You folks offered a $50 voucher but due to the time lapse would not address the issue. The Bodhran is now wall art...Cannot tune it. Having purchased TWO concertina's and a bodhran from McNeela I expected more. I also directed many musical friends to McNeela...Now I am disappointed and friends are suprised when I mention the saga.

The flute I ordered came in good time, but the quality of finish was disappointing. The internal bore was coarse, as if the reamer had cut too quickly.

I have asked to have my broken repaired for quite some time and nothing has been done. I know it is a busy time of the year but I am not happy with your customer service.

Hi Diane, regarding your experience with the repair of your Tony Dixon tin whistle. We understand the importance of timely service and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused during the busy period while Paraic was at the summer fleadhs. Upon receiving your request for repair, we found ourselves in a position where we were unable to provide a timely repair or a timely replacement of the specific whistle model due to stock issues. We aimed to avoid any further delay in resolving the matter, hence offered a full refund which you accepted. Our priority is always to ensure our customers are satisfied and we believed that providing a prompt refund was the best way to rectify the situation swiftly. We continue to work on improving our service and appreciate the patience and understanding of our community. Warm regards, Lorcan

As a completely new student to concertina playing, I purchased the wren concertina. Within a few weeks, I had to take it apart to correct a button that was sounding even though it wasn't pressed. The on-line help was very good and emails were supportive and answered promptly, but it was quite challenging to fix the spring action. Several weeks later, this happened again, but with a different pair of notes. Took the concertina apart again, fixed it. A few weeks later, AGAIN! another set of notes. I am very disappointed with the construction of this instrument. Having to take it apart every week or so is frustrating, to say the least. I have no complaints about McNeela's customer service; it's the construction quality that makes it impossible for me to recommend this model. I"ll be shopping for a different concertina.

Quality control poor. One key on my B/C did not work and the accordion had not even been played before it was sent to me in Canada but I did return it to Ireland and f got it back fairly quickly. Robert Mullen.

Third time writing a review, but the previous reviews never seem to appear leading me to believe McNeela is somehow curating reviews. The product had too many problems out of the box and required multiple attempts at opening and cleaning and adjusting the right side of the concertina. some reeds on the left are breathy. The bellows leak without any buttons being pressed. Too many keys stick, requiring many self-adjustments. Screws that held the hook meant to secure the leather strap required me to tighten it on my own. Once opened there was a lot of fluff from the pads and two pads that required trimming. The only options given to me were to enact the repairs myself via an old blog post; to return ( which meant I had to pay shipping both ways without anything to show for it ) or to get it repaired/ replaced ( I have no faith in McNeela Instruments' doing a good job considering the number of problems in a NEW wren 2). I Finally got the instrument somewhat playable so I would not consider sending it back for a replacement as I may end up getting another shoddy piece that may require even more work, so I am cutting my losses. If ever I choose to upgrade, I would not return, nor will I recommend McNeela.

Ordered a Wren Concertina (#37218) on Dec 17, 2021. Received Dec 21, 2021. Bellows seemed a bit asthmatic. Arranged return and received return label. Spent $93.05 USD postage to insure the package would arrive in Dublin by 12/28/2021, where it stayed until 1/27/2022. Then, (on 2/27/2022), I received notice that it was returning to me. It was delivered back to me on 3/2/2022. So, I spent $625.26 for the Wren, plus $93.05 to return it for a refund ($718.31). Enclosed is a picture of the 'Refusal' sticker from the package. The USPS tracking number is EH024624155US. I guess I'll need to learn how to troubleshoot and repair a 'seeping bellows', as I have already spent far more than anticipated on a beginner to intermediate level Concertina. I have been told I should sell it for whatever I can get, and 'cut my losses'.

The product got a crack on the embrochure . I sent photos to you. But you ask me to send it back w/o guarantee whether it can be matched with the body or not. How about I send the whole flute back and you send me a new one instead ?
