“As a completely new student to concertina playing, I purchased the wren concertina. Within a few weeks, I had to take it apart to correct a button that was sounding even though it wasn't pressed. The on-line help was very good and emails were supportive and answered promptly, but it was quite challenging to fix the spring action. Several weeks later, this happened again, but with a different pair of notes. Took the concertina apart again, fixed it. A few weeks later, AGAIN! another set of notes. I am very disappointed with the construction of this instrument. Having to take it apart every week or so is frustrating, to say the least. I have no complaints about McNeela's customer service; it's the construction quality that makes it impossible for me to recommend this model. I"ll be shopping for a different concertina.”
