“I tried to purchase a watch through karna but this was rejected and I thought no more about it until klarna tried to set up a direct debit. I phoned your customer service and was told that Oliver would phone me back, which he did,found that there was no watch purchased in my name. I then decided to purchase a watch through my credit card and he was very helpful, so much so that I have decided that I will be purchasing at least 2 watches a year from now on. “I purchased a Sceptre Commander last month. No one "needs" more than one watch and I already have a Marloe Haskel and a bunch of other watches, so what made me want to buy this one? I loved the design. At 42 mm it is a little larger than I would normally buy but the whole presentation is quite seductive so I thought to give it a go. I was not disappointed. The Marloe packaging is excellent as is the service and communication. The watch looks great on the wrist and the clean lines look elegant and functional. My wrist is 7.5" (19cm) and the 42mm dial sits well. The silicon strap is also particularly comfortable. I also like the fact that the blue dial is not "too blue" (as is the case with some of the competition). Whatever the design purpose may have been, I see the Sceptre as essentially a fashion watch. It is built around a basic off the shelf reliable workhorse movement and makes no pretensions to be high end horlogorie, but it keeps good time, is well built and looks good, so I am not looking for more. Some may therefore question the need for a unidirectional bezel. I don't anticipate ever using that feature but for those that do, they might want to see a more conspicuous marker at the 12.00 position as the orange inverted triangle is quite small. All in all this is a lovely, reliable everyday watch offered at a very reasonable price that compares very well with the competition. I also like the fact that the business is based in Scotland.”
