“First and foremost I applaud the packaging, just so intricate to the theme. At first sight the watch gave a nice bright summer look. With it's nautical theme and the crown located at 2 and 4 clock position, the watch still has the elegance of a dress watch. Even though the manual claims it as a 42mm case, the watch measures close to 43mm (picture attached). In my opinion the watch might have looked a little better if the bezel was brushed and the case polished or vice versa. Loved the half dome shaped indices with different sizes to distinguish them. The silver minute markers adds a nice touch by differentiating the dial from the inner bezel. The orange silicone strap didn't do justice to the watch and so I replaced it with a rubber strap close to contrast the inner bezel which is like blood orange. The NATO Strap I used in the picture attached really gives a subtleness to the watch. Overall it's a nicely done watch and it looks like it might be a keeper than a flipper.”

“Customer service was excellent. When I received my Solent Timer watch, the packaging was unmatched. I bought a lot of micro brand watches, and I've never seen packaging as good as this. The marketing aspect of the packaging was outstanding. I appreciated the time and effort it took to create such a presentation. The watch itself is also an excellent time piece. It looks absolutely fabulous and I love the Steel bracelet. This is a 10 out of 10 for me all the way. No way this is my last Marloe watch.”

“Great design, craftmanship, & quality. Even the box & packaging were well thought out. I love the glass back & mechanism. The watch fits well and feels great on my wrist. Stainless band is very nice with highly polished middle links. Removing links was easy with a watch tool & the levered attachment pins make removal easy. Clasp mechanism is high quality, easy to use, & secure. Money well spent. Shipping to the US from Briton was very quick, 4 calendar days. The only thing I miss on the watch is a day/date display, perhaps could have added it to look like an odometer function. Also, would have ordered an additional band (black leather with red stitching) if it was offered during check-out.”

“the watch is beautiful (Coniston Auto CN7), I like using it, but it stops by itself. 40+ hour power reserve for me not achievable. I don't know why. I use it all day and in the morning the watch doesn't work. I also suggest offering a watch with a longer strap to choose from.”

“The Coniston was my first mechanical watch purchase. I spent a lot of time listening to the background on the watch itself and the company. I appreciated the story of the origin of the company, agreed with the vision, and found the creativity of its design being pulled from events in history to be well thought out. I am a bit of a lume nut too so that was the tipping point for me on this watch. I also bought a t-shirt to wear with my watch to try and get the Marloe name out here a bit more in the USA. It looks amazing and I have no regrets.”

“I always wanted a yellow watch. The Marloe is fantastic looking and has great specs. 42mm is usually my sweet spot but the Marloe looks on the wrist a tick smaller than that. Certainly great to know for folks with smaller wrists. Another plus is the different color choices in watch bands. I loved that the website shows off some nice color combinations. Otherwise I'd never put a red strap on a yellow watch, but it looks mind-boggling cool! On the downside, the inner bezel is hard, if not impossible, to set correctly and is, therefore, basically useless! The crown for setting the bezel is a screwed down one and every time you screw it in, the bezel moves slightly. Took me 5 minutes to align the bezel correctly. Watch is also running a bit fast. Still within the specs of the movement but 1sec per hour is on the low side, considering a $500 price tag. All in all a cool looking summer watch with some small shortcomings. Swapped that silicone band for a better FKM rubber one.”

“I wanted to experience the black Coniston a bit longer before writing a review, so now I feel like it's mine. I've got it, I own it, I wear it every day, it's beautiful and solid and it doesn't let me down. There is one little something that would have been an improvement, and that is the lume on the hands. The circle on the face is as bright as can be, the hands are much darker at night. And that's it. There is nothing else about this watch that needs to be improved or changed or complained about.”
