“Transformer failed after just under 5 years. Returned to Lumena but advised that they would not replace FOC or even at a discount. I can no longer recommend this British company when comparing their customer service and attitude compared to others.”

Helpful Report

Hello, Thank you for your review. We offer up to 2 years' guarantee on all of our Lumena Lights transformers. As you have mentioned, it has lasted 'just under 5 years', which indicates that it has exceeded its guaranteed time. Therefore, unfortunately, we are unable to replace the faulty product under its given warranty period, FOC or at a discount. If you can get in touch with us and provide an order invoice, we can have a further look into this, but we cannot guarantee an FOC replacement if this has exceeded its given warranty/guarantee. We always strive for the best customer support here at Lumena, and we are sorry to hear that you are not pleased with our service. While we strive to assist our customers to the best of our ability, factors such as the specified warranty period can sometimes hinder our efforts, and unfortunately, there is not a lot we can do. If an item failed within a reasonable time frame of exceeding the warranty period, we usually offer a discounted replacement but, unfortunately, over double the warranty period would not fall into a reasonable time frame. Therefore, as mentioned above, if you'd like us to have a further look into it, please get in touch with your order number. Best regards, Lumena Lights Team

“I bought 2 x lights on 2 separate occasions benefit of doubt the first order parts missing! the lid has 4 retaining nuts to secure it only 3 supplied in a sealed bag so can’t say it fell out and on both lights in sealed separate boxes someone can’t count! The second order the same occurred 1 missing nut on both lights!! and the nut that holds the finial on was missing! i siliconed it on! Both orders parts missing? bit more than a coincidence - i think quality check needs some extra training, so i won’t need my £5 voucher off next order as won’t be placing one.”

Thank you for feedback. The missing dome nut has been an issue with a batch of stock which we are now aware of and are amending. We do have spares of these and will happily send some out to you. Please get in touch at sales@lumenalights.com. Apologies for any inconvenience. We look forward to hearing from you so we can resolve this :-) Best regards, The Lumena Lights' Team

“I am afraid i bought 6 lumena bulbs for my brass eyelight step lights and 5 out of 6 have failed in 7 months . Shame because the fittings are robust.”

Thanks for leaving us a review, Ian, your feedback is greatly appreciated. Please can you confirm which product was mislabelled so we can investigate this further, and ensure it doesn't happen again? Best Regards, The Lumena Lights Team

“Ordered a photocell for my mothers exterior light & paid for next working day delivery via UK Mail - didn't arrive. Called your customer service - nice response but after contacting UK Mail & finding out they had misdirected and would TRY to deliver on 24th (but couldn't guarantee??) - very disappointed that having paid £5 for a £5 item & the delivery service admitting that they had lost it, your staff did not push UK Mail to guarantee delivery of an item that they had lost!! Spent a lot of money over the years with you - probably won't again £5 voucher if I spend even more? Don't think so - you will probably lose that as well..”

Thank you for your review Ron. I personally dealt with your request and can assure you that i did all i could to ensure your parcel was delivered on the 24th. Having checked the tracking upon my return i can see that your parcel was delivered first thing in the morning, which i was very pleased to see. Next working day is our standard delivery service; however, being so close to christmas there can be delays due to extra pressure on the couriers which are out of our control. Apologies that your parcel was delayed by UK Mail but we are pleased that it managed to reach you in time to take it to your Mother over the christmas period.
