“Only 2 options give, one of which was very expensive, the other could not offer a visit for 4 weeks. Found a fully qualified surveyor myself who did it within 2 weeks and was cheaper than either of the 2 you offered, so not particularly impressed overall”

“Following completion of the basic facts I only received 1 or 2 quotes and both of them seemed a little low in price for a full level 3 survey compared to the quotes I obtained for myself. NTB had the courtesy to follow up with some candid comments and a timescale and we exchanged emails so I’m grateful to them for taking the time to do so. However, I went with another company that I’d sourced myself and had consultancy expertise in a specialist area I was looking for. Whilst their quote was significantly higher, I feel more confident they will provide a good quality report within a reasonable timeframe.”

“Instructed 28.08.2020, receipt for payment of fee 01.09.2020, Survey carried out 10.09.2020, chased for report 24.09.2020, informed of inaccuracies in property description 25.09.2020. 4 weeks from instructing and awaiting amended report!”

“The survey ordered was a level 2 homebuyer report, the report whilst it summed the property up as low risk, was riddled with a number of inconsistencies Including such errors as stating that the property was on mains drainage when it had a septic tank. Also that the stairs were in good condition when the property was a bungalow with no stairs. Had my wife and I not viewed the property during a holiday break, (we are relocation from Kent) this report would have potentially given us concerns when their were none. Other faults with the report included no inspection of the loft space when there was clearly access and a ladder, and the estimated build date was guessed at and was out by at least 30years (younger). This is not a full list of the issues with the report. All of our findings were sent to the surveyor and some were corrected or removed. No follow up survey was hinted at or offered to fill in the gaps.”

“Good service when you need a surveyor. Input your requirements and details town of property and start to receive quotes from surveyors. A number of replies were from surveyors much further away than the town where the property I was interested in is located Had an email dialogue with 3 surveyors re their quote and availability and a follow-up telephone conversation with the favourite who was contracted for the survey. Paul Stratful Associates who were fairly local, competitively priced and did a very comprehensive Level 2 Building Survey as requested with the full report (& invoice) arriving on the evening of the day the survey was performed. All very impressive.”
