“A very good and efficient team. The only issue I have had was the documentation which was hard to read and only available in print on request. Writing was too small & colour print on coloured paper is not good for those with sight impairment. Excellent installation & a good system. Could do with coaching on how to apply for payment when supply goes to the grid.”

Hi Jane, We only offer print on request as we are simply doing our best to use less paper and be as sustainable as possible, however ,your concerns regarding the paperwork are totally valid and we are currently looking into ways we can improve this. “The whole organisation of solar panels and insulation installation from start to finish was very good as was the communication from the company. The engineer / installers were quick, polite and did a good job. The only minor issue for me was that they did not remove the old insulation as I had requested.”

“We are very pleased with the system, which includes solar panels inverter and batteries. All aspects of the installation were efficiently handled and the system is working well. Queries were also professionally dealt with by the office team. Our only problem was that the survey was contracted out to a different company and none of our discussions were fed back by the contractor, just his measurements and suitability checks, this caused delays later. The design was ok but was managed around a limited scope, probably because of the ‘Solar Together’ scheme. There was no discussion around future expansion, which has to be done by LMF due to warranties. We do not have much capacity in the inverter to expand, replacing with a larger inverter or adding another one is not as efficient as sizing for expansion in the first place. Also it was not clear that in the event of a power cut we would not be able to use the system, having an option to do something about that at the design/initial installation phase would have been much better than sorting it out later.”

“Service from office excellent but workmen should never have put panels on an old kitchen roof. Damaged the tiles and leaky roof to the extent of mould & fungi on walls in kitchen. However, once this was reported, the company swiftly attended and repaired.”

“Generally well organised and contactable. A couple of points though. I was persuaded to have boxes fitted in garage instead of loft. Much more intrusive than led to believe as I was not shown battery box that would take space on the floor. Had to chase paperwork to set up sending power back to grid months later. Other p/w sorted quickly. In general though I’m very pleased with the solar”

“Pre installation and during installation was amazing quick and efficient. There has been some issues post installation, completing the documentation, support with the app and system, sorting things with my energy provider etc. The installation was done and dusted in December, it is currently May, still not sorted with my energy provider.”

“The actual installation of the solar panels was very good. Nice neat and tidy job with everything explained well. Only let down by the installers not turning up 4 times in a row with lack of any contact from them but when they finally did attend (6 months after the initial due date) all went well.”

“Impressed throughout, tidy workers. Good contact center with any questions. Only minor issue I'd have if I was nick picking was the ac power supply installed in kopex to guttering, this is how ever a minor point. And somthing that could easily be altered in future and rewired internally within the house. Overall though impressed.”

“The whole project from initial expression of interest to switch on took only 6 weeks. The contractors arrived on time, with minimum fuss and were efficient and very considerate of the customer. Just waiting for the final paperwork, but very pleased with the system and the process.”

“Very quick and panels were installed very quickly and efficiently. Electricians were very good. Talked us through all the details of how system works. Nothing was too much for them. Highly recommend LMF Services.”
