The first installers stopped working on the first day after 1 hour. They said they were the wrong type of tiles and walked off the job. The electrician and 2nd install team were very professional. The scaffolding was left up until 14 days after the install. It took lots of phone calls and emails to get removed. I have concerns over what happens should anything go wrong as the support staff seem slow to react.

Hi Roger, I'm so sorry you haven't had the best experience. The scaffold company are totally independent to us and although they do promise to adhere to our programme i'm afraid this isnt always the case . Original contqct Franklin great. Workmen conflict at my house did not clean up after they went. Follow up not great no post inspection. Follow up call but no follow up although I had reported concern

The scaffolding team turned up unexpectedly, they were just interested in rushing through the job with little attention to my property. The solar panels were fitted with a pigeon guard which I was left to sort out. The inverter was placed in the wrong position which I had to move. The cables were not secured to the beams in the roof void. In and out very quickly

Pannels work well but could do with something to stope the pidgins getting under them as we have to pay to have the gutter emptied often

The solar installation went smoothly enough. Everything was explained clearly. However, the various contractors they hired were not as professional. They gave the wrong date for the installation of the scaffolding and then repeatedly gave the wrong dates for when it would be removed. They showed up unannounced to collect it weeks later and I hadn’t cleared the area for them as I had no idea they were coming. They broke my guttering either whilst removing or installing the scaffolding. They also spilled oil all over my porch and didn’t tell us, only discovering this when my partner walked outside carrying our 6 month old baby and slipped and almost fell to the floor with him. It took hours for me to clear up the oil. Also, the electrician ignored me entirely when I asked for the wiring to be ran down the corner of the room instead of right down the middle of the wall, because it was easier.

I had a long drawn out transaction to get the solar panels fully installed and connected and to receive any benefit. Spent hours on the phone having to chase every aspect. Scaffolding was up for weeks. It was a very stressful experience. Double glazingbwould have been more beneficial.

Wouldn’t put them on back of house , wouldn’t brace across. They said they couldn’t put on front of house first thing didn’t have a long enough ladder.So I let them use mine. Took 4 weeks and loads of phone calls to get them to take down.

I cannot recommend LMF Energy Even though LMF Energy has invited me to leave a review I cannot recommend LMF Energy which is unfortunate because all the staff I spoke to were pleasant and polite. My solar installation was a grant managed by Next Energy and installed by LMF Energy. LMF have very poor communication and this was the first issue. I received an installation plan which was only using 1 side of my roof even though I have 2 sides facing in a southerly direction. I tried repeatedly to contact LMF by telephone and my calls were ignored, I live close to the LMF office so I had to knock on their front door to get them to answer some basic tech questions and ask them to utilise both sides of my roof which they then did promptly and almost doubled the number of solar panels instantly. The second issue was that LMF connected my solar installation to the wrong side of my electric meter meaning that not only was I paying for any free energy produced by the solar panels but the way it was installed could have had serious consequences. When I became suspicious that the install was not correct I rang LMF and was ignored, I then emailed and it was ignored, I then had confirmation that the installation was definitely wrong so I rang LMF and had to threaten to report the install to the National Grid just to get a return call. I was then told to turn the solar off immediately and that an electrician would be out the next working day to fix the major installation error. 10 days after it was originally installed, my solar installation is now working properly as it should have been since the start.

I have been waiting several months since being contacted by LMF to make important modification changes to my cooker. This, I feel, is unacceptable. I can not any further as I am still waiting for the work to be undertaken

Installation crew were excellent for the solar panels. The scaffolding obscured our satellite dish and this was not passed on in the office so we were without Sky for six days hence the low score . The led lights in the house were fitted with great awareness of the cleanliness of our home with a very polite representative of your company.

Good Morning Mr Fraser, I'm assuming from your email address that you're a Liverpool supporter ? As a fellow Red I really hope that you didn't miss any games because of this issue. At least any that we won anyway ! LMF are independent from the scaffold company so we have absolutely no control over their install programmes or schedules unfortunately. It does appear from your feedback though , that a lack of communication between our office and the scaffold company may have been a contributing factor so for that I would like to offer our sincere apologies. I have solar panels on my home and clearly remember the exact same thing happening to me .It's was a over a weekend so not quite as bad as 6 days but I had 3 small children at the time and, as I'm sure you can imagine, I had a few choice words for the poor lads who eventually turned up Monday morning . If I can offer a positive spin on things I can guarantee from experience that you will notice a significant reduction in your energy bills so hopefully that will go a small way to making up for the inconvenience. The first contact I had with them was from a fella telling me it was a free service, which was true then he chucked in a bribe. I was to get £80 cash 'for my troubles'. Quite frankly he had no need to lie to me as the cash was unimportant. I really do not like liars however!! The rest of the service, certainly the installation was awesome, faultless, just a shame that initially I was lied to.

Good Morning Phil , Having looked into this the company you dealt with before the job was passed to us was NDT Southwest . LMF Energy Services are only the installer. We have no involvement with your property prior to the job being passed us for install . We have installed thousands of energy-efficient measures under numerous government grant schemes and not once have we paid , bribed or lied to any of our customers. Why anyone would pay customers to have a free service is beyond me ?! I'm assuming from your wrath that you didn't accept said bribe ? I have contacted NDT this morning to discuss and i'm waiting for a response. Let's just say that anger you've demonstrated in your comments pales in comparison to mine after i read this review today . That being said it's clear from your feedback that you were happy with the install that LMF carried out which is really lovely to hear . I can only hope that anyone who reads your review also takes the time to read my response as comments such as this can be detrimental to businesses such as ours who work exceptionally hard to provide a first class service. Although we are a national installer we are a family run business with values to match . Our reputation is incredibly important to us. We value all customer feedback whether good or bad and it's evident from our responses to other reviews that we always hold our hands up when we get things wrong . On this occasion however i can safely say without a shadow of a doubt that we didn't get it wrong ! Our service in your own words was " awesome " and " faultless " . As a director of the business i take all feedback incredibly personally so for that reason i feel it's only fair to anyone from LMF who was involved with your install , to override your 2 stars to a 5 .
