“I ordered 8 of 5 foot fluorescent tubes. They were delivered by ParcelForce on a 48 hour service, exactly as advertised on the order. Unfortunately, due entirely to the lack of any protection within the cardboard box they were delivered in all the pins at the end of the tubes were bent and buckled. In some cases the actual caps as well. As a result none of the tubes were usable. I telephoned and without hesitation a fresh order was raised. I agreed to disposed of the damaged tubes. ParcelForce failed to deliver the second order so after a week I telephoned again and a third order was raised. The lady I spoke to on both occasions couldn’t have been more helpful. After 48 hours the third order was delivered. This box did at least have some protection for the end of the tubes, all of which were usable. The following day the second order was delivered. Again, there was no protection for the end of the tubes and again all the ends were damaged. I advised my contact at Light bulbs Direct and she again apologised. I have now got 16 defective tubes to dispose of. Observations. 1. Light Bulbs Direct customer service is excellent and cannot be faulted. 2. Light Bulbs Direct packaging department do not appear to know how to pack fluorescent tubes properly. The let the company down. Badly. 3. ParcelForce is living up to its popular name. ParcelFarce. The tracking website does not work. And their deliveries are unreliable. Solely because of the bad packing I am only giving Light Bulbs Direct 4 stars.”
