“I ordered five Swan Halolux Ceram lightbulbs. The lightbulbs I received were generic bulbs, rather than made by Swan. General Lamps/lamps-on-line.com have now acknowledged that the items they sent me are not what I ordered, or what was described on their invoice. They have now explained that the lamps they sent me were, 'an unbranded equivalent to our Swan one'. They have offered to refund the cost if I return the items, but I have decided to avoid the hassle. I will, however, also avoid General Lamps in future. They advertised branded lightbulbs and sent generic ones. They also misrepresented the items in their invoice, presumably hoping I would not notice. These are not the actions of a reputable company.”

Hi Barbara, Sorry that you were not happy with your experience shopping with us. I understand your issue. I have checked with the buying team and we have Swan brand arriving in 4 weeks. We can put these on back order for you and send when they arrive? In the meantime oif you keep the white box lamp you will at least have some light until Swan brand arrives. “I was having a problem finding the correct lamp to replace in my cooker hood. I was getting outlandish prices. Discovered this company, who could be contacted by phone and I was able to talk to a knowledgable human. After a couple of calls, I identified the correct lamp and starter. Placed an online order. The goods arrived in due course. With trepidation, I opened the package, and lo and behold everything seemed OK. Fitted both and it worked. Delighted!”

“I’m of that ‘certain’ age, when to buy a simple lightbulb is one Big Hassle now-a-days - what with wattages altered, this changed and that SO to just type my requirements into the Search Bar, up pops Lamps-on-line-com - Yes. admittedly, the cost of postage puts the bulb price up, but to me, that’s what I call “hassle free” shopping with “No Stress””

“Great products. However, very disappointed with customer service after our order was sent to the wrong address. This was DHLs error but we weren't the customer to DHL, Genral lamps had the tracking reference and it was booked through their account. 3 days passed without a solution and we had to drive 90 minutes to collect the goods ourselves only to be refunded the postage. Litle effort on their part to help out the customer (us) spending a decent amount of money.”
