“ordered a beautiful dress from the sale line dress arrived within a week. tried it on but its just to tight even though the fabric stretches (me putting on weight). as at less than £20 i did buy it for my holiday later this year so it does leave time to lose a bit of weight and get into it”

“I have given you four stars based on years of good service from you but sadly I had to send the dress I ordered back because the photograph made the collar etc look much paler than they actually were but in real life they were a really grubby beige. The vaguries of the printing process are not your fault and I am sure I will eventually get my money back so I can buy something else. Thank you.”

“We have been wearing Lady V Hepburn dresses for our Reminiscence Activities since 2014. Fantastic quality, cotton sateen dresses that wash and iron well. We love the added stretch for ease of wear, but still need to order a size up. Ordering is easy and delivery quick. The only things preventing a 10/10 rating are the returns process and cost. The online returns portal doesn't work properly. However a quick call to LV's super-helpful team (had to google the phone number), resolved the problem. If returns were free and simpler, then you'd get 10/10. A printed label in the bag would help.”

“Normally 5* but on this occasion I was very disappointed. Ordered two dresses and was refunded for one as no longer in stock. This was on the day they were added to the website as I had been checking twice daily knowing they were due in. On checking the following few days, the dress was marked as in stock again. Whilst I spoke to a very helpful colleague who phoned me back to confirm my payment was taken, I believe that if knowledge was that a further collection was due in, why couldn't those of us previously disappointed, be notified that there would be a delay in posting. It cost me two lots of postage because the two orders were under the threshold normally applied for large orders.”

“Loved the poinsettia dress. It is bright and cheerful, and perfect for the festive season. I was disappointed by the Heritage Roundel dress, as little attention had been made to match the material at the seams, and it looked quite strange. Will be returning this one.”

“Lovely Lyra Christmas Dress pretty fabric and great quality. I own a number of Lyra dresses now, I love the style very comfortable and very flattering for my figure however, I would much prefer long sleeves as opposed to three quarter sleeves to visually lengthen the arm although, I do think the addition of pockets is a nice touch albeit not necessary in my opinion?”

“I have ordered quite a few dresses from lady vintage. They have always been lovely and I have been very pleased with my purchases to date. However I ordered a dress for my Daughter which was unfortunately not suitable so I needed to return it. I was quite surprised that after spending £3.99 to have it posted to me originally I now have to spend £8.00 + sending it back to them recorded delivery. So be aware if your item does not fit and you need to return it, its an very unexpected expense.”

“Recently tried the new Zelda dress. It gets 3.5 stars from me (had to round up for rating above). To bring it fully up to 5 stars, the sleeves would need to be about 2" longer so that when my arms are bent the sleeves still cover my wrists instead of sitting 2" above them. If they were tight sleeves they likely wouldn't shift, but being loose they could do with some extra length to be perfect. Similarly, the pockets in the dress are set too high to be useful to put my hands in (have to bend my arms to 90° angle to get them in) and because the fabric of both the Zelda and the Lyras is stretchy, the pockets are also useless for putting anything in as they just stretch & ruin the line of the dress. So now they just have these useless flappy bits which hit my hip crease when I walk. If I had an overlocker then I would just cut the pockets out and either shift them 3" down the side seams or just get rid of them entirely. I can understand pockets in non-stretch fabrics but they just do not work in stretch fabrics at all. I'd rather not have them. Same with the Lyras. Those used to be 5 stars but the addition of the useless flappy pockets brings them down to 3.5. I'm autistic and these were super comfy dresses for me which now have the addition of a bad sensory experience. Other people who are less hypersensitive might not notice how irritating it is to have them hit you repeatedly when walking, but its meant that I'm wearing my older Lyras way more often than my new ones even though I love the new prints.”

“Lovely style and colour the Lyra Dress is my go to! However, I’d much prefer the sleeves to be full length far more flattering than three quarter and not to have incorporated pockets into the design.”

“I recently bought new Lyra dress (with blue butterflies) and the fabric and print is amazing. I love them a lot but unfortunately I had to give them away as they were too big even when I sized down. The delivery was quick and perfectly done as always.”
