Arrived really quickly, usual prompt service there. Quality of dresses very disappointing! Cheap, thin fabric used. Needed to wear a vest under as could see through! Cheap fabric for a not cheap dress!! Will be thinking twice before ordering again.

Dresses are cute but the shipping time is ridiculous. It took my dresses over a month to get here. Christmas dresses will have to be worn next year. Ugh

Hello, We are so glad you like the dresses - but we are so sorry for the time they took to get to you! I have taken a look and you ordered a pre-order Christmas dress which we shipped to you as soon as they came in, on the 7th December. However, it looks like there was a delay during their journey to you which I cannot apologise enough for. Usually, it doesn't take this long, but a combination of Christmas post volume and lack of staff due to COVID has meant courier transit time has been longer this past month. I am so sorry again for the inconvenience this has caused you.

Expensive postage. I paid next day delivery and it took 2 days. It was also dumped on my doorstep despite specifying not for this to happen. Beautiful dress however, as always. I'd like to see a 'tall' range as I find the dresses slightly short on my longer body being a tall lady.

The order haven´t arrived due to some mysterious problems in shipping. I was looking so much for this dress :/ . However, the communication with the company was quite good and quick and I got my refund.

Hello Elsa, Unfortunately, our international partner has experienced issues with shipping to the Czech Republic, and due to this several of our customers orders have been affected. We are offering to re-send at our own cost or refund customers, and we cannot apologise enough for the trouble. Our partner is investigating this as a matter of urgency and so we are confident these will not be ongoing issues. I like the dress but I have problem with my last order and I am not alone as I know. Lately the sending doesn't work well. In my case, without any additional information or email a part of payment was returned back to the account. Parcel was sent but after 3 weeks returned back to sender. I really hope that the goods will be resent as it is because the purchase was made within summer sales. I am really sad about the situation. I wrote an email 24 hours ago. Still no response... :(

Hello Carol. I am so sorry you were disappointed with your dress! Generally our customers are satisfied that our sizing is in line with their other favourite shops, however on occasion mistakes do occur. If the sizing is very different to the measurements advertised on our website, you should return this as a faulty item for a full refund. Alternatively, our customers are welcome to return any dress to us within 14 days if they are not satisfied with the purchase. I bought a dress off a vintage stall at a recent 1940's event in a size smaller than I normally wear, which I am most thrilled about. The fit is flattering and comfortable. However.... I have had a look through the dresses on your website to purchase more in the future and after being a great British sewing bee watcher, I have become quite critical about pattern matching, and this does not deliver on your dresses and puts me off buying dresses in the future, as for the price you charge they don't look quite right and need this refinery, therefore would look better on the people. I do know however this is similar to matching wallpaper and you lose fabric due to matching, but with this to think about you would be able to charge more for the dresses. Only my personal opinion and hope you don't mind my feedback. I will be wearing my purchase as it looks lovely on me, but don't think I will be purchasing another dress I'm sad to say.

Ordered a size 10 Hepburn, it was so different from the other 2 Hepburns that I have. More a size 8. It was a bargain in the sale as well. But sadly had to return it.

Hi Kerry, We are so sorry to hear that you have received a dress that is different in size to the other two you have previously bought. I have taken a look at your order and I can see so reason at all why the most recent Hepburn would be a different size, we have not changed any patterns, fabric composition, or anything to do with the manufacturing, so I suspect perhaps that you may have received a dress that had the incorrect size. Although this is extremely rare, as all dresses are made by hand, human error can lead to very occasional mistakes. We would like the opportunity to investigate this further, I note the refund has already been issued for you, but may I ask if you mentioned the sizing issue on your return paperwork?

If I had paid full price for the dresses, I would be disappointed with the quality. I bought two, one size 16 fitted the other is very snug (tight).

Both dresses, although different styles, should fit similar as they were both the same size. I have two other Elsie dresses.. i am still so in love with them however this third elsie dress which i purchased is different from quality and the size fits smaller then previous dresses same size. Bit disappointed..

The dress was as described however it didn't fit me as I would have liked so I returned it a fortnight ago and have still not received a refund or a response.

The dress was beautiful, but customer service could have been better. My dress was late being dispatched but I was informed and willing to wait. 2 days after the due date I had to email to ask when my dress was coming, and I was told the delivery was delayed and would be dispatched the day after they got them. I paid for 24 hour delivery and ended up waiting 2 weeks. Don't mind waiting but please do the courtesy of keeping customers informed when there are further delays.

Unfortunately the sizing on this style is not quite same as another style I mainly go for , so any future orders I will stick to my regular style Shame as I absolutely love the dress Will keep it and see if I can get it altered slightly

The prints were pretty, but the three dresses were very basic - no pockets or lining. The quality felt a bit cheap to me 🙁
