Ordered a universal ladder standoff to find it didn’t fit. Not very universal. When contacted them to ask if longer u bolts were possible I was told no. No other suggestions, or an offer to return. Not very helpful.

I ordered on the 23 /05/25 and paid the extra next day delivery charge. I received an email to say it was out of stock and as yet I have not received the item or a refund.

No notification that ladder had been despatched. No notification of anticipated delivery date. No notification that ladder had been delivered and left in front of front door in clear sight. Cardboard packaging damaged as was cellophane covering actual ladder. Thankfully neighbour saw it left outside door and contacted me. My builder installing it at present so hopefully no further problems. But delivery situation alone means I would not recommend Ladderstore

Would be happier if you used a different delivery company. Was never told when it was going to be delivered, just got a messaged to say they had missed me. Still not received the parcel and don't know how to get it from whereever it is. It has also taken two weeks for it to be sent out. Can't give a better score because I haven't receieverd.

Ordered ladders on 9th January, received them in March. Had to chase regularly as no feedback received as for delay.

Website is inaccurate in 2 respects. 1. The products listed as in stock are not and this then results in longer than anticipated delivery times. There was no contact from Ladderstore to explain this until I contacted to ask where ladder was. 2. The website advertised features which were not actually on the ladder and therefore product received was not as anticipated. Following contact with Ladderstore this was explained as only available on an upgraded model. Despite this the website still shows the feature available on the purchased model and no where was an upgraded model mentioned or offered.

On this occassion we were not notified of the delay from our suppliers to pass on this information, however this isn't something that should affect your experience with us and we hold our hands up for the lack of communication. Having been lured by the promise of a first order discount that never materialised (small print catch) I’ve been left with a bad taste and the distinct impression of having been conned.

I have reviewed your order alongside these terms and the reason your discount didn't work is because you bought a product under the minimum order value. The discounted email shows the discounts as follows: £10 off - NEWSLETTER10 - orders over £150 net £15 off - NEWSLETTER15 - orders over £250 net £25 off - NEWSLETTER25 - orders over £500 net As your order was £130 net this did not qualify for this discount. We also would like to let you know we've checked all competitor pricing on this product and at time of writing this response we are the cheapest retailer online for this product. There was no stamp on the package and I had to drive to the sorting office and pay a fee.

Hi Lauren, Our products are sent via a courier service where postage is paid and labelled by them, there should have been no need to pay a fee for the collection of this item. I have rang and left a message to try and discuss this with you further, please feel free to get in touch so we can help you resolve this further

Youngman Deluxe Hi-Performance Aluminium Loft Ladder From the website product information I checked the swing clearance of a loft ladder, checked the floor to floor distance and checked the trapdoor size and fitting. No other sizes were given. The ladder arrived very promptly. As I started to remove the sealed wrapping I became increasingly concerned about its length. I checked and it was too long! Many emails ensued which were responded to fairly promptly They wanted £145.00 for them to arrange a return!!! I ended up with, at my time and cost, a 4 hour return journey to return it to a warehouse in Burton on Trent. Staff there were very helpful and the full money was repaid quite promptly but £145.00 to return the item!!!! Why did the specifications not include the ladder length?

Good Morning Eric, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I am very sorry to hear you are not happy with the experience you had with Ladderstore. I have just checked the online specifications and all specifications are readily available as per the website, for the ladder to fit your dimensions must meet the specified dimensions on the website. Due to the size of the item, it would have had to have been returned via courier and the fee as to which we were charged were passed on, this was purely the collection cost for the product we did however give the option as per our returns and t&c's for this to be returned back to the warehouse for a full refund. I can see this was returned in October and a full refund was processed. Although we do try to maintain stock availability and reflect this on the website, unfortunately on this occasion we were not aware of a stock discrepancy until the order had been processed. Hi Delivery date has been moved back. Called the day before to confirm delivery was still on the 9/12 - was told it had been delayed and someone would call me to confirm new date - no call received so phoned again, spoke to Meg who was really helpful and apologetic and said delivery will be Monday/Tuesday next week. Disappointing because our engineers had been booked in along all with all the relevant permits & RAMS submitted to work and we now have to reschedule and complete new paperwork and we have no time to book in engineers elsewhere.

We are very sorry to hear you are unhappy with the service provided. From the order I can see that there was a delivery delay due to the item being lost in transit, a replacement was dispatched the same day as the item was reported lost in transit. I can also see from the order that we had communications both via email and telephone with regards to the order and notification of its status. The product I ordered wasn't in stock even though it stated it was online, an offer of an "upgrade" of a ladder was emailed to me saying it will be sent, but although it was more expensive, wasn't better quality by any stretch. Didn't have time as we were working essential works during COVID lockdowns, but overall wasn't happy with the online service, and the product in place really wasn't what I wanted. The other issue was I was promised someone would get back to me by certain days, but no one did, so I was left with continuous chasing, missed delivery dates and a poorer quality product.
