“The Trews I had made for my husbands birthday are lovely, the workman ship is good, but as with all things that are not measured by the tailor, we had a small problem with the leg length being too long, and a little too baggy around the hem. I had re pinned the small changes needed and emailed the company straight away to ask if I could send them back for the alteration. I was firmly told this was not possible, they only make to the measurements we sent, so our fault if the fit was less than perfect. I feel with such an expensive item, this was really poor service. The Trews are not wearable as they are, so I will have to take them to a tailor here to adjust. Very poor customer service and follow up. Such a shame on such a nice item and such good service and help before hand, but then nothing when a small adjustment is required. Hugely disappointing all around.”

“The kilt was just great, more than I thought it would. I also bought a pair of hose, which were excellent. I ordered the kilt to wear at my daughters wedding in Nov. It was ordered on Sept. 26th at 11.20pm (Canadian time) and delivered at my door at 2.30pm on Sept. 29th, a total of 63hrs. and 40mins from U K to Canada. Very Impressive.”

“Wrong size item was replaced within 24 hours. Remarkably good service and excellent quality even though two buttons came off the waistcoat at the first touch. No matter, a quick session with a needle and thread (I redid them all) and we were up and running. Great service, great product and they have a YouTube to show you how to wear it although tie-ing Ghillie's brouges is something I have yet to master.”

“I received my Kilt and accessories a few days ago and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the kilt based on the price. I was extremely happy with the Service I received when communication with the Kilt Society. Sarah and Rachel, both answered all my questions quickly, while deciding to purchase I contacted other companies and am yet to get a reply, Thank you ladies. Now you may wonder if I was so please why I did not rate the company a 5 star, the answer is simple. I followed the instructions for measuring the size of kilt I required and was a 38.25" so on the advice of the ladies I ordered a 38-40 kilt. Unfortunately it was loose. When I contacted the company regarding a possible exchange I was told they would gladly refund me the money upon receiving the Kilt, and then I could purchase a new one in a smaller size. This solution would be fine if there were no customs involved, you see I paid almost 50% customs duties on the package and that would not be refunded so on repurchasing I would now have to pay customs a second time and that just would not make sense. The company needs to find a different way of processing exchanges that does not involve repurchasing, even if it means they have to charge shipping. In the end I opted to take the Kilt to a tailor friend of mine (who incidentally was the person that measured me for the kilt) and had it tightened by having the buckles moved two. It still looks great and was less than a fifth of what I would pay in shipping and customs duties. Looking forward o wearing my Kilt”

“The casual kilt package I bought was excellent value for money and the service outstandingly good. There was a packing error and the wrong size was sent in the original despatch but a phone call was all it took to have this very quickly rectified and the return was cost free. The synthetic fabric of the kilt is not as soft as wool but it has a good weight and is exceptional value at the price. I am a happy customer!”
