I omitted to say that when my supposed rewiring was done they took up the boarding in the loft but didn't put them back down and left screws all over the place. They also left the loft in a complete mess as far as items stored up there were concerned. I paid them almost three thousand pounds .a bunch of cowboys. I still can't get any response from them.

Joy have gone bust. I have had problems with new rewiring as it hasn't been done properly. This was done a couple of months ago. Nobody wants to sort it out even though Arli said they would take it on board. Seems they have taken over Joy but have changed address. Joy have not advised their governing body, the NICEIC as yet. Arli still haven't bothered to help me even though they are the ones who said they would.

This company doesn't exist anymore. Have gone into liquidation but they have not advised their governing body, the NICEIC. Now operate under the name of Arli. Joys did some rewiring for me but has not been done as per quote issued. My lights tripped 5 days ago and one light cannot be switched off so have had to switch lighting circuit off and can't get anyone to deal with the problem. Arli have said they will deal with issue and pay for the work as they don't want any bad reviews. Still waiting, as they say they can't get an electrician even though they offer this service on their website.? It seems that the wiring has not been connected to the lighting circuit with new cables plus they missed a switch.They are still using some addresses and phone numbers which are the same as Joys. ? Another strange anomaly . Wish that I had never used them.

Having found Joy are able to do plumbing & electrics we though this would be a good company to start using.....how wrong were we. The only positive - we called them for an emergency in our rental property and they came out the same day. They isolated the problem and told the tenant they would call us - they never did. We had to call them, each time they said they would call us back but never did. I lost count of the times we phoned them. We asked for the invoice to be send to us, it was sent to the tenant. After about 3 weeks of chasing for a quote to rectify the original problem, it arrived. The quote they sent was not for the work we had asked them to do - just to replace the part (which does not need doing). All in all, the admin side of things is a complete joke.

We have found the level of service so extremely poor and have been badly let down by you multiple times now. We've had to chase up almost every email, and every phone call over the last 3 months, and have lost count of the number of times that you have promised replies/callbacks that have just never materialized. Once or twice is understandable, but in almost every bit of communication we have sent through (to multiple people), WE have had to chase it up, sometimes 3 or 4 times to get a basic answer. Apart from it reflecting very poorly on your customer service it's also just plain rude. This is in spite of us being loyal customers for 6 years. After the home visit back in the summer, it took you 4 weeks just to supply us with the quote for a £2.5K job - which we accepted straightway so we could get everything booked BEFORE winter. We had a question about the quote which we had to ask multiple times and eventually just gave up asking. It took weeks for anyone to reply to our emails and calls to book a date for the job despite accepting the quote back in October. On the day of the job, by 9:30 am, no one arrived! When we called the office and were told someone would 'find out what is happening and get back to us in 15 minutes That never happened. We had to call the office again at 11:30 am and were then told that they had 'forgotten' us - sorry and forgotten to tell us that they weren't able to make it because they had a couple of emergency call-outs that obviously take priority. The job was rescheduled for later that week, but that was again cancelled the day before because one of the tradesmen was sick. Now a week later we have just been informed on the morning of the job that we have been cancelled for the 3rd time. Surely the right thing to do is to reschedule someone else to come and get the job done instead of once again pushing us to the back of the queue for the 4th time. We've been waiting since September! To top it all off after calling the office the office this morning asking to speak to someone higher up and being promised a callback straightaway with a manager - it's now almost 6 pm and unbelievably this hasn't happened! The level of service we have received from you is shocking! There just aren't any more excuses that can be made to cover up for the level of incompetence and total disregard you have for your customers. We have been strung along for over 3 months and wasted so much of our time. We will never use or recommend you again.

If the way one of their vehicles was being driven out near Fordingbridge reflected their business then I would be concerned - never used them and probably never would having had someone driving one of their vans being both intimidating, and clearly with no thought for other users but himself driving full beam, fog lights and pushing vehicle back down a country lane near Breamore for 3/4 mile to a mile on a foggy night when could have reversed 50 yards and pulled in. To be honest quite scary, upsetting and frankly poor form. To be clear this is not a review of their service or their business - just so that management can be aware that someone was driving one of their vehicles in this manner and this reflects on their brand

Absolutely appalling company. Rude and unhelpful, never get a response. ‘Managers’ supposedly looking into our query, they’ve been ‘looking into it’ since JUNE. Unbelievable, threatening court proceedings and they respond with a snooty email with surprise surprise!....it’s being ‘looked into’. They damaged our house, issued a useless report (which we were charged £144 for) and left us in a complete state having just moved in to find the radiators flooding everywhere. They’ve taken absolutely no responsibility for their actions, nor their incompetence, and continue to be a massive disappointment with every communication. Will never, ever, recommend to anybody.

Dear reviewer, Thanks for sharing your feedback. We were called out of hours in November 2015 to your hotel which we only charged a domestic call out rate of £75.00, you finally got round to paying our bill in June 2016. We don't really understand your comments about reliability or over charging?

Sorry to hear you never received our quotation, we do send our quotes by email and unfortunately they don't all land in people's inboxes, as it's now three years ago it probably won't be in your junk mail folder. As you can see from the majority of our reviews we do have some very happy customers and great feedback. If you ever need a plumber or electrician in the future, we would love the opportunity to quote for you again.

Steve got me in to plaster a bathroom and wc. He then went on holiday leaving me to deal with the client and the clients electrician. Progress was hampered by electrician who didn't really know what to do and pan was left in situ for me to try and work around. Customer complained about plaster on architrave and when I invoiced for my time and materials I was underpaid by £200. I won't be using joy or recommending them to my many customers past or present. I had the feeling Steve had bigger fish to fry and perhaps forgot what it's like to be self employed and on the tools.

Hi M.P Plastering, Really sorry to read your review, thank you for explaining the situation, looking back at our records the customer wasn't happy with your plastering, hence why they stopped money for the plastering. However there were no issues with the plumbing works carried out.

Requested a quote for a new central heating system. Guy arrived to look at my job was unfriendly and rude. He left without looking at the job. His attitude was awful.

Had you round to quote for work, including shower head and screen in bathroom, guy stood in my bath with his trainers on, pump, new kitchen sink, taps. He left saying a quote would be sent to me, NEVER heard from you again. Very unprofessional.

We are really sorry to hear you are not happy with our charges, you were charged the same as all our customers are for their first hour. It was also the same rate that you were charged when we were called out the time previously. If you were to ask when booking an appointment, you would have been told how much the callout would be.

We are really sorry to hear you were not happy with our service, we did locate the source of the leak but were told that chef wouldn't allow us to work in the kitchen while he was inservice.
