“Ordered an oak mopstick bannister for my stairs and specifically wanted one whole pole not a kit which splits the bannister into 3 pieces with joining brackets, as I don't think these are very attractive. Pleased to say a 3.6m long bannister was available so I don't have joins along the pole. Phoned the Call Centre to enquire as to how to treat the wood and was recommended Treatex Hard Wax Oil which I have applied and it looks amazing. Service was superb and my bannister was delivered exactly on time a few days later. Couldn't be happier.”

“Three stars indicates that although the bannister I purchased arrived very well wrapped in bubble wrap and thick polythene, there were several dents which obviously preceded packing. Therefore quality control in the handling of the goods prior to packing needs to be more rigorously implemented.”

I am very sorry to hear this Anthea. We do have a 2 stage packing system which we record to allow us to check for any faults/errors etc. For future reference, we are happy to receive feedback as soon as you find any fault at which point we would be happy to investigate and rectify at the time. We thank you for your feedback.

“Good prices. Fast delivery and Excellent customer service. Unfortunately spindle got scratches in transit. Parcel was completely smashed like someone put under the heavy stuff.”

Hello and thank you for your feedback on the prices, delivery and service. I do, however apologise on behalf of the couriers that the spindle was scratched during transit. I will give feedback regarding this. Thank you once again and I hope we can help you again in the future.

“Ordered white primed stair parts great quality. Also oak handrail and caps, only let down by the joints in handrail.”

“Needed to build a Balustrade, ordered parts from Jacksons, and the parts arrived on the correct specified day (actually had to phone up and change the day, no problems). All parts great quality, and packaging was fantastic, several layers, hard and soft protection. This is really important as the hassle of sending anything back would be a real pain. This is the second time I have used Jacksons, last time 9 years ago, and I had the same experience then”
