The software is fantastic and I will be signing up. However, the customer service from Katie Bennett is to be desired. I decided as I did not want sales telephone calls do not provide a phone number for me. This individual decided to send threatening emails advising further action will be taken unless I update my telephone number. I queried what I needed to speak to me about and receive a response of if there’s any technical problems or if I have any questions I’d already advised I don’t have any questions so I don’t see the need to provide a phone number. Then again today, this individual who seemingly is on a power trip has emailed me again also, including the phrase “ so that no further action is taken”. This is the most bizarre and offensive approach I’ve ever seen towards trying to win customers. I also recommend they review GDPR legislation on what someone needs to provide and how they process data.

From an occupier’s perspective the App is a bit of a nightmare. I assume you’re not actually interested in this, just in making life easier and presumably cheaper for owners/agents. My sister was using a new smart phone and is great with computers. The App crashed 3 times, losing all the information. Because the property had no Wi-Fi at the time, loading photos directly into the App was a problem. This was only necessary because if you disagreed with the presented inventory you were told you must provide photographic evidence. She rang for advice about the App crashing and during the conversation the Hives lady said that ‘clean’ was a subjective term which is news to us. I expect this service is good for owners or agents who are not really bothered about the state of properties, as Hive only provides cursory statements in their inventory. As an observer of the process it seemed geared to make it as difficult as possible for occupiers. I would have given up and agreed that the freezer riddled with black mould and draw front missing, was in fair condition, or whatever the term was. A one star review seems generous.

Online page crashed constantly whenever I tried to upload pictures. It became very frustrating having to start over and over again on my iPhone. As I did not have broadband at the property I had to source a mini hub and then use my laptop which again took hours for each click and upload to take effect. In total it took over 2 days to complete and then wouldn’t submit. Very disappointed in tool as I had to submit all my photos to the agent in another form as the report had many inaccuracies.

We're sorry to hear you experienced difficulties uploading images as part of our tenant feedback process. It's certainly not the standard experience for it to take hours for each image to upload, so something wasn't right there - as with a good connection it should only take seconds. Typically speaking we generate up-to 60k of these tenant approval emails each month and it's rare we experience any bad feedback like this, because the process we have pioneered is designed to make things fair and audit-trailed for tenants.
