Although the axle was good.. I was misled about the £50 surcharge by more than one member of staff, who each confirmed the return upon receiving the old axle back… Having just contacted the company, I was informed that there was a charge of £25 each way. And so , logically speaking I could have saved myself £25 by just returning the old axle. So this is not one road that I will be travelling down ever again, and the garage I use has confirmed the same. Use this company if you’re desperate.

Told after I bought the axle that the warranty would be invalid if I didn't return the old axle. Not impressed after spending £240

I purchased an axle from IM Axles in Jan 2020 and one side completely collapsed through bearing failure exactly 6 weeks after the 2 year warranty period expired in February 2022. IM AXLES stated that the failure is due to road conditions and is "an original design issue". True, the axle is not a great design, But, the original rear axle on this vehicle had lasted 15 years and had travelled the same roads/commute (driven by my wife - a Nurse) for far longer than the IM replacement. Her annual mileage on the original axle was 18k miles PER YEAR. The IM axle did just 6k for two years before failing.

Hello, We are sorry to hear you are having problems with an axle. I have looked into this case. You emailed us on July 15th at 16:47pm. We replied the following morning 16/7 at 8:16AM. Please can you get in touch with us to rectify the situation. We would only leave a bush in, if it was in perfect reusable condition. Please get it touch with us to clarify if its OK to fit, or we will send you a replacement axle. -Im Axle Specialists

Axle very poorly finished, I had to file out bolt holes, re-tap threads and straighten caliper carrier mounts.

Good communication before purchasing. Poor communication afterwards.Took a week for a 48hour service. Still did not get the correct information of the courier service if I was to send it back. Reported issues with the new axle and didn't seem to care.

A radiator support subframe was ordered. Arrived, and nearly completed fitting until a riveted thread sleeve failed. Total pain to then try and get bolt out of the whole sleeve as it rotated. Phoned and asked for a replacement, explaining that what had happened (Not fit for purpose). Was told that another one would be sent. Never received it . Waste of my time , and money. My advice Find a reputable professional supplier. NOT IMAxle.

Cheap and it showed. Bolts all went in at funny angles, cups for control arms where 1/2cm bigger then the oem spec. Had to use packers to make good and had to cut corners off to help it fit into place as all were curled up. Luckily I was fitting myself as would have cost more then Oem to have buy and have a garage fit with all the extra work to get to fit correctly.

Sorry to hear you are having problems. We looked into your purchase and it seems it's the wrong part for your car. You sent us an enquiry asking if the subframe would fit the Golf 4Motion. We informed you our part does not fit the 4Motion. You have purchased it regardless. We strongly recommend you get your car checked urgently by a garage to make sure your modifications are safe and roadworthy.
