“Having lived mostly in other parts of the world, where this nefarious practice of being able to pull out on the flimsiest of pretexts at the drop of a hat does not exist, we sincerely hope that the law will be changed to protect the vendor. We have found ourselves through no fault of our own in this position, which is heart-breaking and fraught with anxiety. A deposit should be paid of 10% which is then forfeited if the purchasers does not go through with the transaction.”

Definitely informs on the things new build developers wont tell you and really highlights and reaffirms how unscrupulous and non-customer supportive many New build developers can be. This encouraged me to look further into their common practices Some are now just selling "freeholds" but with a lifetime ground rent charge and a charge for even considering consent to make any alterations to the property. "Fleecehold" practices Coming here saved me thousands and prevented a lot of future problems, Thanks.”
