Useful information on what to do when selling a house and there is no building regulation approval of work carried out on the property. Thank you!

I found this website really helpful with lots of useful tips and good advice

This was very helpful. However, the position I was in was that the house was on the market. One other price had been put in, and there had been little interest but as soon as I put an offer in the estate agent suddenly found lots of other people were interested. I requested a counteroffer from the vendor and the estate agent refused (not directly). I felt that I was being played so that they could up the price.

This website does not explain clearly how I apply for the buy-to-rent -scheme. I am currently homeless after breaking up with my partner I have some savings and a baby on the way I need somewhere to live so I can take care of my child and self during the week and weekends, I am currently in a good job but have not saved enough to get a morage

Hi Stefan, I'm so sorry to hear of your situation. With Rent to Buy you need to reach out to the affordable housing developer or association in your area. This has always been tricky to do but government has recently launched a new service to help. If you live outside London use this link - https://www.shared-ownership-scheme.service.gov.uk/find-organisations-selling-shared-ownership-homes. In London these types of properties are called London Living Rent and you can start your search here - https://www.london.gov.uk/programmes-strategies/housing-and-land/improving-private-rented-sector/london-living-rent Please be aware that finding a Rent to Buy home is a bit of a lottery as there are so few of them in certain areas. You should also contact your local authority for help if you are at risk of homelessness.
