“We had a chicken over Christmas it was absolutely delicious lovely white meat thought it was going to be bigger that’s the only disappointing part of it as it said when I bought it extra large chicken is £42.00”

“First time we have ordered a Rooster (Capon in France) in the UK. The bird was just amazing, fresh, succulent, delicious and amazing value for what you get. Delivery was exactly as stated when we ordered. Definitely will be getting the same next year. Highly recommended.”

“Very happy. Good communication regarding delivery of my order, which arrived on time. It came with the simplest, fuss-free cooking instructions imaginable, plus a bunch of herbs and a recipe for stuffing to delight the more adventurous cooks. The turkey crown was wonderfully plump, tender and flavoursome. I would recommend this supplier unreservedly.”

“Delicious cockerel. 4.1kgs fed 8 of us with plenty left over for sandwiches. Juicy and tender. 1st delivery was left in the wrong place and went missing, but Herb Fed got another out to me the next day (just before Christmas). Fantastic customer service and great product. All in all perfect.”

“This is the first rooster we have tried and were very pleased with the result. We chose this rather than a turkey as it was smaller, to cater for fewer at Xmas lunch and because it sounded a tasty alternative. It arrived well packed with a cold pack and instructions on suggested cooking method. We filled the neck end with a forcemeat stuffing and sewed the flap of skin to hold it in. I think our oven is reading lower than the set temperature so it took 15 minutes longer than calculated time. After resting it carved beautifully; the leg meat was very tender and firm, the breast cut easily into thin slices too. All of our diners said what excellent meat, with a gentle flavour. Unlike our turkeys in previous years, the was very little waste and the carcass provided a couple if litres of nice stock. We will most certainly order a rooster again.”
